¿ how? selecting audio track, recording it to an audio track (real time) some copy and paste to rename, then selecting the next clip, and repeating….

this is what I want to do:

select next ProTools clip, real time record (F12) and when it is done, then copy name from source clip, go to the print audio track (just recorded on an audio track) double click, delete 3 characters from the end of the audio file, paste the (source) clip name (that is already in the clip board) on the end of the print audio track, then select the next audio track on the time line, and repeat (real time record, rename the print audio track, etc) … till there are no more clips in the timeline.

it gets a bit more complex as I also want to do the following: as a part of the process above….

say there are 10 audio tracks (source tracks)
and each of the 10 source audio tracks has between 3 and 6 audio clips on it.
and I have them setup so they are like a set of stairs.
    so they never overlap.
always printing on one destination audio track.
so what I want is…. after the first 5 clips have been printed from the 1st (source) audio track… then somehow SoundFlow knows there are no more clips on that 1st source audio track, then it goes down to the SECOND source audio track, and finds and selects the 1st clip on that 2nd source audio track, then it puts ProTools into record, and does the same for all clips on that audio track (however many there may be)
then somehow SoundFlow knows there are no more clips on that 2nd source audio track
then it goes down to the THIRD source audio track, and repeats all over again. ‘till there are no more source audio tracks with clips on them.

    does that make sense?

and no, i dont have the complex needs for Andrew’s Bounce Factory. Not at all. My workflows are not that type.

    thanks.
