Some code I get, but this implodes my brain. I want to better understand it.
Hi there,
In the following attached post, Raphael wrote these 16 lines of code in January 2021. I just tested the script in PT 2023.3, it works flawlessly.
Being just 16 lines and a very focused task, it doesn't seem like it really must be all that much to understand.
I'm starting to get into learning JavaScript. I am still at beginner level here, but my copy and paste skills have almost reached intermediate thanks to all of the mixers, programmers, editors, and legends on here!
I am interested in understanding the code better in the above post. There seem to be many points intersecting between basic JS language features as well as specific keywords or syntax related to SF and PT.
I recognize that somehow the selected clip is being accessed via the Clips List, there seems to be some array manipulation with [0] and [1]'s etc.
There are arrow functions like c => c.startsWith
@Kitch Do you think the script linked above is short and specific enough for a weekly hangout? When I am at the next one or another one later, if there is not something else very interesting, maybe we could go through this script "line by line"?
Maybe that's more fun than asking for a code essay on the forum..!
I linked to the script above and tagged you, so even if you don't look closely now, it's not totally sprung on you!
Have a good day.

We could for sure break this down in one of the next hangouts. Be sure to remind me. :-)
