Batch bounce failed - first time

(I apparently submitted this in the wrong place before, I'll be sure to close the one that doesn't get replies)

    Hi Andrew,

I tried reading similar threads, but haven’t been able to fix my problem. It’s happened every on attempt with this project. Before this (and ever since I got BF) I didn’t have issues, only an error message that didn’t result in bounce problems so I didn’t do anything about it.

I’m not a very frequent user, and this is the largest session I’ve used BF on, but I’m a little thrown off by the “locating audio files” dialog, I don’t remember ever seeing that. PT doesn’t give me any location problems when I open and play the session.

(EDIT: After encountering this problem I tried redoing bounces on a separate project with a simpler session and I got a “There was an error finishing the snapshot” error, so now I really don’t know what the problem is, I thought it was my bigger session).

Here are the BFData zip and a screen capture of the process from when I first open the PT session (this was taken before the edited part)

            Hi @paul3 ,

That is indeed a gigantic session! You're right that the issue is based around the fact that it is searching for the audio files after restoring some of the Snapshot Data. The bad news is I'm not sure what is causing that so I will have to investigate. The good news is there is a workaround for the way you are working!

Go to the Bounce Factory settings and turn off the Snapshot Data Recall Filter by clicking on the title. This will skip the problem step completely without affecting your bounces. It is only necessary to use the filter if you are making multiple Snapshots for the same session and need to change things like volume automation, insert assignments etc. Do that and you will be able to bounce and I'll let you know when there is a fix.

                Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm bouncing with no problems right now. Will let you know when the batch is done.

I want to learn about the data recall filter, but I need a little more time to get into it. For now, bypassing those settings will help me very much!
                Thanks!
                Paul

Unless you’re doing multiple snapshots per session you’ll never need it. Glad it’s working!

(I have a feeling the original issue is related to having tons of elastic audio going on, I’ll keep you posted)

Thanks so much! Don't mean to bother, but now that I have a little bit of your time: here's the SF message I get all the time (since I first signed up).

                        Am I doing something wrong?
                        Thanks!

Did you ever run the script in the package called install shortcuts for Monterey and above? It’s next to the collect user files script. It’s just so BF can turn do not disturb on and off when it bounces
