Getting started...
Hi Andrew,
I installed your MOMDeck app and from what I can see I have version 1.0.2. Is this correct? For some reason I thought v2 was released last month. I may be mistaken.
I’m running PT on a MTRX Studio. A few months ago, I replaced the DADMOM remote controller with a Trinnov DMON and LaRemote. All monitors are connected to the Trinnov.
The MTRX Studio has 2 headphone outputs. I purchased the Stream Deck Plus and would like to use 2 of the 4 knobs to control HP1 and HP2 from the MTRX.
What’s the easiest way to accomplish this in the DADman? Do I need to setup up anything on my iPad?
Thank you!

Hi @Dean_Landon ,
1.0.4 is the latest, so not a bad idea to update. Just some bug fixes, and small tweaks to the features.
Soooo, to your question, since MOMDeck uses the MOM protocol, unfortunately it is only possible to have one volume control per layer. The only way to do it quickly would be to assign each HP output to a different layer, put the layer buttons on the same deck and then switch between them to switch the volume knob functionality between the two headphone mixes.
Hope that helps,
Andrew - DIn reply toDean⬆:Dean Landon @Dean
Hi Andrew,
Thank you, I'll give that a try. Is there anything to set up on the iPad, or is the interaction only between the Stream Deck Plus and the DADman?
Regarding the update, when I brought up MomDeck in Soundflow, the update button was greyed out. I'll give that a look again today.

Are you on SoundFlow 5,4.2? If not go here to update: https://my.soundflow.org/install
MOMDeck decks can be loaded on any stream deck or iOS/Android device as well as the computer itself, the only limitation being that the SD+ is the only one with knobs. I have a deck and the Volume Display app running on the Mac all the time and use a bunch of key commands to control it. Check out the quick start videos and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
AndrewThat might be the issue.

I running SoundFlow 5.4.2. I updated to it a few days ago. I got the SD+ for that very reason, the knobs. I wanted something simpler than bringing up the DADman app every time I needed to turn the vol for HP1 and 2.
I'll try to get it up and running today. If I run into a snag, I'll let you know.
Thanks Andrew!

Cool. Also check out the Volume Display App, it gives you 3 preset volumes as well as nudge up and down, all of which can have keystrokes assigned.
- DDean Landon @Dean
Great, I'll give the Volume Display App a try as well and download 1.0.4 from the store. Aside from your Mac, are you also using the SD+?
Thanks!
Andrew Scheps @Andrew_Scheps
I have one for testing but actually don’t use it day to day. I have key commands assigned for switching sources and three preset volumes. Hands never leave the keyboard.
- DDean Landon @Dean
That's very interesting. I think I should leave my options open. :)
Regarding the version no, I think I'm running 1.0.4. The update button is greyed out, leaving no other option's to update.
In the SoundFlow app > Installed Packages > Scheps MOMDeck, to the right of it, it says: Changes for version 1.0.2. Does SF give us the option to know what version we're using? Again since the update button is greyed out, I assume I'm using the latest version.
Regarding DADman.
- In the DADman Device List, I have SoundFlow connected.
- Under Groups, nothing was changed since I had the MOM controller set up.
- Under Mom, see attached screenshots. I followed your Layer 1 and 2 instructions.
Is this correct?
The SD Plus is connected to my Mac Studio Ultra, and I can see the lit up legato logo, but that's as far as I can get it to work.
Do I need to enable SD Plus in SoundFlow?
Thanks Andrew.

1.0.4 is the latest, all good.
Basically you want to assign the Level part of the MOM profile to the volume of the headphones and then build yourself a SD+ deck that has one volume knob, which will switch function when you switch layers (and you can name it for each layer so it's obvious which you are controlling). Then add a Layer 1 button and a Layer 2 button for switching back and forth.
Definitely check out the videos (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvzM-KppV_rzNIv-YaqmFBZWSpZw-sQdy). There's one just about making Dadman MOM profiles and one just about setting up a deck. And yes, you will need to set up the SD+ with SF, which involves uninstalling the Stream Deck software from Elgato. In the SoundFlow menu just select "Set up Stream Deck" and it will walk you through the process. If you watch the videos and are still stuck let me know.- DDean Landon @Dean
Perfect, thank you Andrew. I'll give it a try.

Andrew, in your MOMDeck for Stream Deck Plus (Command Name section), I clicked on Show Deck, and your buttons (Spk 1, Spk 2, etc...) popped up of my Mac Screen. But when I click on Spk 1 or any other buttons, I get the message below. How do I get around that?
Thank you.

Hi Andrew, this last post has been edited a few times. :) I finally figured it out. It was a matter of changing a few things in the MOM > Monitor Profile Config. The SD+ is responding and live.
Thank you for all your help. Much appreciated.
Andrew Scheps @Andrew_Scheps
Awesome! That stuff should all be in the videos, please tell me if it isn't.
- DDean Landon @Dean
Well I was watching your MOMDeck Module Walkthrough video when it dawned on me that I had to change a few settings in the Monitor Profile. I can post a screenshot of the profile if it helps you. I can do that tomorrow. A couple years ago, I had a Stream Deck without the knobs, so the setup was slowly coming back to me. I didn't watch the other 2 video's. I will in the morning.
Andrew Scheps @Andrew_Scheps
I meant was info missing from the videos. The Dadman videos will explain all the monitor profile stuff.
I have a feeling that the videos would have saved you a lot of time and pain.
- DDean Landon @Dean
The video's are very helpful. Everything worked yesterday, but this morning after booting up the Mac, DADman wouldn't connect to the SD+. I had to unplug the SD+ from my USB dock and reconnect. Once I did that, the SF MOM popped up in the DADman Device List. I'll try removing the USB dock and connecting the SD+ directly in the Mac's port.
Thanks again for all your help. I appreciate it.

Also, here's what I see in the store so maybe you can update from there instead?
