When Soundflow is active, Pro Tools won't launch. The icon keeps jumping and does not open. I have to Quit Soundflow and relaunch PT. Once PT is opened, I can open Soundflow and it works (altough, it freezes when I use some Audiosuite commands from SF)

      Hi Claudio,

I'm sorry to hear you're having a technical issue with SoundFlow. This is likely an issue with using Pro Tools launching/activating as a trigger for one of your macros. Could you try turning off any "Application Triggers" for Pro Tools?

Specifically, it seems like the issue is likely from a Trigger on the "Auto Match Latched Controls" preset under the "Automation Windows Buttons" command.

Let me know if you can toggle the App Activation Triggers off and whether or not that solves the problem you are seeing.
      1. Hi Claudio,

This appears to be an issue related to MIDI messages from certain devices. Please upgrade to this preview build of SoundFlow 5.4.4 which has a fix for this:
Pro Tools doesn't launch after installing Soundflow #post-27

This will come out in SoundFlow 5.4.4 very shortly.

        1. Hi Christian and Chad, thank you for your quick response!
As Chad suggested I disabled the Pro Tools triggers and apparently it worked. I say apparently because something was still wrong. Let me briefly explain.
Before I found that Soundflow was the 'cause' for PT not opening, I thought it could be some plugin issue (update) so I decided to update everything. The problem is, it was taking sooo long to install even some basic and small plugins wich I know very well and usually doesn't take that long, like the Sonnox Oxford EQ. Even some light App Store app was taking hours to update. I then decided to close Soundflow and immediatly things were going a lot faster (normal, I would say). Then I found that the problem was on Soundflow.

After removing the PT triggers as Chad suggested, I installed the SF 5.4.4 Preview and now everything is working correctly. I even tried to install another plugin again and it now installs at normal speed.
Do you think this MIDI messages could be the fault to my installation issues? Or this could be related to the script that had the PT Trigger?
That had me worried, everything was working smoothly and then suddenly don't. I have a Mac Pro 2012 64GB RAM and never had problems with things so slow. Could a macro affect something like that?
Again, thank you for the support

          1. Do you think this MIDI messages could be the fault to my installation issues

Yes, this is most likely the issue. It was a bug in SoundFlow that was fixed in the version you just installed :)

Thank you for your support Christian and Chad!

                Hi Christian
Should I download the 5.4.4 stable version from the website or should I keep the preview version you sent me? The newest version on the website is July 20th, about the same day you replied this post. I'm a bit confused hehe. Thank you

                1. Hi Claudio,

Yes, please download the stable version :)
