Moving between computers - how to bring plugin presets?

    Hi everyone

I have set up my Streamdeck with Soundflow and Pro Tools at my main computer with simple tasks, mostly processing AudioSuite Plugins. They open and close as they should, and I have created presets for all of them that are also loaded. The presets are currently stored in the root settings folder so I don't need to set it up on every new project.

This raises a problem though when I'm bringing my Streamdeck with me to work in other studios or mixing stages. What's the best way to bring the presets with me?

I realize I could copy my root plugin settings folder and paste it into the root settings folder on the new computer, but is there a better way? I also get that I can store them in the project plugin settings, but then I have to import them on all new projects in the future, although that would easily solve the moving around issue.

So what do you guys think, what is the best way to solve this?

    Thanks!
    Lars

    1. A few engineers I know store their User Media and Settings Location in a DropBox folder.
With this setup you can use your setting on any computer just by logging into drop box and changing the settings in PT prefs:

Thank you Chris! This seems like a good option, and I'll try it. :)
