Can't select key input tracks in Auto Align Post 2 with my SoundFlow macros after I updated to Pro Tools 2023.9.0

Does my macro look correct? This macro is supposed to select DIA 11 as the key input for Auto Align Post 2 and then render it.

    1. If the new plugin is called "Auto-Align Post 2" and not "Auto-Align Post" then it's possible you'd need to re-pick the UI elements.

Other than that, I'd say add an "Activate App's Main Window" and set it to Pro Tools at the top of your script to ensure the focus is right.

I did try that and still the same result. It opens the key input popup menu and that's when it errors and doesn't select the track. I've also tried some similar scripts from others in the store and can't get any to work.

          1. Hm, that's definitely weird. So the popup menu does open, but SoundFlow says it didn't?

Would you be able to make a screen recording of this issue occurring, and share a link to it here?

Please also check our "Known issues" here:

            1. cc @Kitch who might be able to help further troubleshoot.

As Christian mentioned, you may have to re-pick each of the elements from each macro action to ensure that the macro is looking for the "Auto-Align Post 2" plugin and not "Auto-Align Post" plugin.

Also, be sure to check that the menu path "DIA 11" for the "Open & Select Item in Popup Menu" macro action exists.

The macro as it stands also requires that the AudioSuite plugin is already open on your screen for the Macro to work.

If after checking these things you are still unable to get it working, a screen recording may help us troubleshoot the issue further. :-)

                Hi @Chris_Kahwaty,

                Thanks for the video.

From the video, it looks like you have only used the pick button of the "Bring UI Element to Front (Raise)" macro action. Please see my above post which shows the other macro actions that need to be reassigned.

Once you have used the "Pick" button for the other Macro actions, make sure to choose the "Auto-Align Post 2" option from the dropdown.

Let me know if you need any further help with this. :-)

                    Hi @Kitch ,

Sorry, I'm a little confused. The video I sent you shows me going though each action and using the "pick" button to select the UI element and then the "First Window" drop down to select Auto-Align Post in each action. All of the actions work except for the Open & Select Item in Popup Menu which is where the error occurs. Also, in the "First window" dropdown menus, there is no option to select auto-align post 2 as that is not what it's called in pro tool. Pro tools Audio suite menu just calls it Auto-Align Post (Even though i'm running Auto-Align Post 2). Thanks for helping me look into this, appreciate it!

My apologies, I only watched the first few moments of the video while juggling other things. Let me take another look :-)

Yes, you are doing everything correctly here... Let me see if I can reproduce it here.

                            Okay great, thank you!

Also, just an FYI, i'm on a MacBook Pro M2 Max running Sonoma 14.0 and have Pro Tools launched using Rosetta.

                              Hey @Chris_Kahwaty,

Chiming in to confirm that I can see this error when trying to select a 'key input' for an AudioSuite plug-in in Pro Tools 2023.09 on MacOS 14.0 Sonoma. As @Kitch mentioned, this is due to a broader issue with interacting with popup menus in Pro Tools on Sonoma. We are tracking this issue and hope to resolve it soon. See the linked post below for another example:

Thanks for that extra information. This issue is unfortunately most probably due to your operating system being on Sonoma.

Right now we don't Support Sonoma. Please see SoundFlow's system requirements https://soundflow.org/docs/getting-started/install-soundflow/system-requirements

                            Not yet supported versions:
14.x Sonoma: We are currently testing with macOS Sonoma. We have detected issues in Pro Tools related to using SoundFlow with Pro Tools on macOS Sonoma, so we recommend staying on macOS 12 or 13 for now.

I recreated your macro and it seems to be woking ok in Ventura.
