Issues with Stream Deck XL brightness (via dock) upon reconnection with MacBook

When I disconnect my laptop from its dock, which is directly connected to the Stream Deck XL, the brightness of the Stream Deck dims to around 25%.

Upon reconnecting the laptop to the dock, I check the settings in Soundflow under "Set up Stream Deck," and it incorrectly shows the brightness as 100%. In reality, the brightness remains around 25%. When I interact with the brightness slider, it recalibrates, and the Stream Deck's brightness follows the slider's value, allowing me to set it back to 100%.

This issue seems to occur only when I unplug the laptop from the dock. I'm using an M1 MacBook Pro with a CalDigit TS3 dock. I exclusively use SoundFlow with a single Stream Deck XL and do not utilize the Elgato app. I've confirmed that there are no active sleep timer settings from the Elgato app. I suspect that the dock might not provide enough power to the Stream Deck when the MacBook is undocked, as the TS3 reduces power output in such cases.

Do you have any suggestions on how to prevent the need to manually adjust the brightness slider each time? Perhaps there's a way to automatically set the brightness to 100% upon reconnection? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

        Thanks for contacting SoundFlow support.

Please note, that the best way to get help with a script, macro or other content installed from the Store or content that you've made yourself, is to select the script/macro, then click the red Need help button, and then click "Get help with this script or macro".
By using this method, we will get access to more information and so should be able to help you quicker.
You can read more about how this works here: bit.ly/sfscripthelp

If you're seeing an error that isn't related to scripts or macros, and you think this is a bug in SoundFlow, please file a Help/Issue bug report.

          Hi Samuel,

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way you can work around this yourself (although I may be wrong). I haven't heard of this issue occurring before, and I haven't noticed this happening to my own devices (I have a Macbook Air M1), which is weird. It's also possible I just never noticed it but that it is in fact happening here as well.

I think this behavior is likely to happen in the Stream Deck's firmware where it receives a notification from the Mac and then adjusts its own brightness. I don't think it would be easy for us to change this automatically, but I'll log an internal report for this so we can take a look when we have time.

This issue is now tracked internally by SoundFlow as SF-965

I've also got this exact same issue -- M1 Max MacBook with a CalDigit dock. Not a big deal, but I also have to manual recalibrate the stream deck brightness every single morning when I plug my laptop back into my studio dock.
