Solo settings problem with multi bus template
Hi there,
I am sorry if this issue has been adressed previously.
I am using a mix template similar to the one Andrew Scheps uses in the videos I have seen,
where for example my kick bus goes to my drum bus, my drum bus to my instrumental bus and my instrumental bus to the master bus, and so on.
My issue when using Bounce Factory is that when I choose for example to make stems, and I select my guitars all bus, my drums all bus et cetera, I either get no sound at all on those tracks, or if I solo safe those buses, they will end up in every stem, so that I either get blank audio or versions of the full mix. Clearly there are some settings somewhere that I have missed. Can someone please advise me?

Thanks for posting a question or an issue related to the 'Scheps Bounce Factory' package.
This package is made by @Andrew_Scheps. We're auto-tagging them here so that they will hopefully be able to help you. Please see support instructions here from @Andrew_Scheps:
Bounce Factory Support
The best and fastest way to get help with any Bounce Factory problem is to send the User Files and (if applicable) a screen recording of Bounce Factory failing. The easiest way to do this is to use the "Report a Problem" button in the app:
1. Go to the Bounce Factory settings using the cog in the bottom-right of the app:
2. Click the red "Report A Problem…" button at the bottom of the Settings screen
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Thanks!

Hi @Snorre_Bergerud ,
This sounds like a Pro Tools routing thing. Can you confirm that if you solo the tracks manually the same thing happens? The way my groups are set up is that all of the audio tracks are assigned to the group, no auxes/masters etc. Then the audio is either going through folders that have the tracks inside that aren't solo-safed or through auxes which are solo-safed.
Thanks,
Andrew- SSnorre Bergerud @Snorre_Bergerud
I am sorry for this late reply, I really appreciate your response.
Can you explain briefly how you set up the template, or point me to the correct video where you explain it?
I am pretty sure you are right that it is a routing issue on my end.Andrew Scheps @Andrew_Scheps
I think the issue is you're trying to solo a buss, which will mute all of the source tracks (unless you summing bus is actually a routing folder and all of the tracks are inside it. What I use in my template are VCAs, so they can solo tracks wherever they are in the session.
Like I said, just try soloing manually and see if the same thing is happening. If it is then it's a routing thing, if it doesn't then it might be Bounce Factory thing.
Hope this helps!

Thank you, now I see what I did wrong, and it is definitely a routing issue.
Really appreciate your quick response and help!
