Not Able to Save Pro Tools Session...
Hello everyone - just downloaded Soundflow and really enjoying it!
I'm currently using the Avid Edition (just the stock macros) with Ventura and Pro Tools 2023.12.0
For some reason when I try and use the "Save" option - I get this:
"Could not find the menu item "File -> Save" in Pro
Tools (File Menu: Line 7)"
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hey @Peter_Barboluk!
https://my.soundflow.org/install - Make sure to install the latest version of SoundFlow (5.5.4). The File menu was slightly changed in Pro Tools 2023.12.0, and the latest SF version should handle that correctly.
Let me know if that helps!- PPeter Barboluk @Peter_Barboluk
Hi Chad - yes - that did! Thank you
For some reason I can't seem to get the "Solo" button to activate or deactivate in a track...
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hey @Peter_Barboluk,
Are you using a macro command for this?
Here's an example of an action that can be used to accomplish this:
This macro looks at the open Pro Tools Session to fetch the names in the dropdown menu for "track":- PPeter Barboluk @Peter_Barboluk
Hi Chad.
I will look into these instructions you sent - much appreciated!
As this is my first day - was thinking I could use what's already on the solo page (attached)
Perhaps I am not correct...
Thanks again,
Peter

I think I've made some progress with your excellent explanation. I have it working!
The font is extremely large on my iPad - but normal on the Soundflow app on my computer.
From what I've found so far on the internet - I get the impression that this is how it is... for now.
I will make separate graphical buttons for the Solo On and Solo Off - which will work for me...
I still can't figure out how to make this new page the default. On my iPad - I select "Editing" then "Solo Mode" - it reverts to this...
Thanks again
Peter

Ah, I see. Yes, those commands from the Official Pro Tools 5x3 deck are meant to change the solo modes, not actually toggle the solo status of a track! So, they are changing these menu items in the "Options" menu bar of Pro Tools.
It seems you have already discovered how to "Make an Editable Copy" of the "Editing - Solo Modes - 5x3" deck, but you would actually need to make editable copies of the main deck plus the "Editing - General 5x3" in order to accomplish what you are trying to achieve.
Then you could route your copy of the main deck to link to your new copy of the "editing deck" and route your copy of the "editing deck" to route to your copy of your "solo mode" deck.
AlternativelyYou could just make a copy of the main pro tools deck, and utilize the free slot on the main page to route to a new deck of your own custom commands.

The "default" pro tools deck will always link to the "default" decks it was designed with, which is why you would need to make copies of decks and link those together to make your own custom setups. I hope that makes sense!

Moving forward!
I thought about what you said in adding a button to existing space in an established deck.
My Editing page looked like this:
So I created a macro for the blank page a - using the toggle feature you suggested in one of your earlier picture posts. I also made a quick icon called 'Solo" Now that page looks like this:
I think this will work well - until I gain more experience and think I want to add more features...
Chad - you rock!
Thank you very much for all your guidance and patience.

I couldn't leave it alone - so I corrected the background colour and text colour to closer match the rest of the deck

And I filled that first deck with a "Close Session" icon...
