Im getting an error I haven't seen before and not sure how to solve it. Im getting the "There was an error finishing the Snapshot"
I have updated to the latest version of sound flow and bounce factory. Im trying to bounce a bunch of mixes and stems and am getting the error on multiple sessions. Any ideas how to proceed?

Bounce Factory Support
The best and fastest way to get help with any Bounce Factory problem is to send the User Files and (if applicable) a screen recording of Bounce Factory failing. The easiest way to do this is to use the "Report a Problem" button in the app:
1. Go to the Bounce Factory settings using the cog in the bottom-right of the app:
2. Click the red "Report A Problem…" button at the bottom of the Settings screen
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Andrew where can I upload the data files when I try to do it here in the forum it tells me dot zip files or an unsupported format

Hi @Todd_Sorensen ,
It's a bit of a weird one, but looking at the logs it looks like you were able to finish the snapshots except for one time. Is that right?
From the logs it's looking like Bounce Factory couldn't get to the Groups panel at the bottom left of the Edit window. If you can get it to fail every time a screen recording would be great!

For some reason it is gathering data now with no errors but When bouncing the bounce Mix dialog is not the same as the setting in bounce factory and stalls everytime. I have attached a video.Todd

That is strange, but I'm wondering if there is anything that changed with your I/O setup? Basically, it fails when trying to set the bounce source.While taking the Snapshot the source BF defaults to is the last one used in the session, which in this case is
Playback 1-2 (Stereo) -> Playback 1-2. Note the bit with the arrow. When it's setting up the Bounce dialog to bounce it can't find that exact path name. The first part is there (you can see it in the video) but it's possible that the part after the arrow (which is the name of the actual physical output) has changed. You would only see that when actually looking through the menu. So, it's possible that the name of the actual output has changed to something likePlayback 1-2 (Stereo) -> Output 1-2because of a change in hardware settings? This is only a guess, but I'm not sure what else would cause this. The way to test it is to take a new snapshot and instead of leaving the bounce source alone, re-select it in the Snapshot window and see if it's different. It's the same error on all of the failures so it's got to be something like that...

I have tried various output assignments etc but still get the same result. Also even though I am de selecting MP3 in the Bounce factory Bounce Mix Dialog it is still highlighted in the actual bounce mix window in Pro Tools. Can you run the Collect User Files script again and post those so I have logs to go with the videos please?
Also, could you make a new session and see if it has the same issues?

Also, everything you're doing to take the Snapshots is fine, so you could just keep them when troubleshooting so you don't have to keep making them. The issue is definitely while bouncing.

The problem in the error video 2 is that you were moving the app while it was trying to bounce.

Sorry to spam you @Todd_Sorensen , but I published a new version of Bounce Factory today (1.5.22) which addressed some similar problems in pother parts of the bounce so please update and see if it makes a difference.

OK I’ll update to the latest version I was current until today. I did open a completely separate project and this one seems to be bouncing fine. I created stems and like five mixes, and they all seem to be bouncing without an error but the six sessions that I have from another project all are doing the same thing so I can’t figure out what’s really going on as the settings in the Ayo configuration are the same it’s just for some reason when it gets to the bounce mixed dialogue box, the MP3 is enabled, and it just seems to stall right there

At least we know it's something to do with those sessions, which is a huge deal. Maybe try importing all the session data from a problem session into a new session and see if that works or not.

I tried all of your suggestions. I did import audio into a new session and then tried to bounce it. Same result. The google drive link I gave you access to has the latest User logs. Can you look at this again for me? I really need to get these mixes printed and am at a stand still right now.Thanks,

Can you please send me one of the session files (no audio) so I can try and recreate the issue here? Since it's something to do with the sessions and not Bounce Factory it's a hard one for me to troubleshoot.

Another thing to try. Right now you are bouncing the physical output as your source. I'm assuming you have a mix buss that is routed through an aux to that output? If so try routing the mix to a buss instead and see if that works. The only thing I can guess is that it's something to do with the way that output is named.

Im still having problems during bounces. If I send the whole mix to a bus often that bus which may be the Print or Mix bus doesn't show up as an option as a mix source in the bounce dialog box of Bounce Factory. Can you see a reason why some busses don't show up? As a result Im not able to finish the snap shot. I am still having the problem of getting bounce3 or shapshots to conclude without getting the previous error. Where should I go from here?Todd
