I am trying out the logic version of Soundflow.
For my first Macro, I am trying to point to Logic's category folders where my third party plugins live.I cant find any commands to achieve this.
    How do I do this?

      Hi @Sifi_Fraser,

      Thanks for asking.

You can make your own presets for loading plugins using the Logic Plugin Loader located in the SoundFlow Package.

Here is a video of Chad walking through how to use the Logic Plugin Loader. At 1:57 he walks through creating a custom preset. :-)

Let me know if after watching the tutorial you still need guidance. :-)

Thanks for the swift reply. I understand how to do it now.
I seem to be experiencing some instability with the Ipad app. Is it my setup or something else?. I cant work out how to display the Decks on the mac monitors.
          Early days.
          Simon.

            Hey @Sifi_Fraser!

            I'm glad the video helped.

Can you provide any other details about the instability of the iPad app? Is it a matter of the decks not loading as expected or something else?

If there are any errors being thrown, can you log a bug report using the "Help Issue" workflow: https://soundflow.org/docs/help#help-issue

To show a deck on your Mac, you can set the "device" dropdown to "This Machine." I will note that currently, decks shown on "This Machine" will open new windows instead of navigating subdecks from the same window. This is a known issue and is logged for future implementation.

Early days, indeed! Thank you for trying it out Simon 😊

PS: In the video he brings up a list of Icons. Where do I find that?

I created the icons for the third-party plugins deck using Figma and taking screenshots of the plugins. You can always take a screenshot and copy that into the icon field of a command as a quick way to create your own!

                  Thanks for this Chad
At the moment i don't know whether my problems stem from my gear, my inadequacies, or the App. I suspect it is the second. It is taking me ages to understand the architecture of the program. EG that my presets are not stored in just one folder called "My Presets". Both yesterday and today, after a few hours I started getting timeouts (see attached). I will Off/On everything and see if that clears it. Restarting Soundflow doe not sort it out.

                    Hey @Sifi_Fraser,

                    Thanks for the reply!

If you encounter the issue again, it'd be great if you could file a "help issue" via this workflow:
                    https://soundflow.org/docs/help#help-issue

The "help issue" workflow will create a new bug report in the forum with encrypted log files so the SoundFlow Team can take a closer look. The log files provide a bit more context for what could be causing the issue.

Could you also let us know what version of Logic you are running when you follow the "help/issue steps?

                      Hi Chad,
The problem seems to only happen when a floating mixer window is open. I'll file the report.
                      S

Ah, yes! A floating UI element (a plugin window or, in this case, a floating mixer window) can sometimes disallow SoundFlow from controlling what it needs to control.

But yes, if you can file that report, we'll see if anything can be done to improve the scripts when using the floating mixer window.

                        Best,
                        Chad
