    Hi,
is it possible to rename a SD Button with the "push + modifier" of that button?

    Could not find anything helpful...

You simply replace the text within the title section while viewing the deck. As far as I know that's the only way to edit the title

            Thats known, thanks.

            To be more specific:
during mixing or any other task where time, creativity and being productive is money, it would be really helpful to change the Title of a Button with a short cut.

In such a situation it is a pain switching to soundflow, searching the specific Deck, Button. Especially when there are multiple dynamic decks etc.

I'm a bit confused why changing the title of a button would be useful if the macro/script attached to it wouldn't change. Could you give me a specific example?

e.g. recall preset numbers -> Eucontrol layouts or clip effect presets or Window layouts -> they are all project specific and differ from task to task.

It would be a large help to simply change a Title of what is actually recalling that preset trigger with a push of that button -> e.g. cmd+button = change title.

Understood thanks! As far as I know, that's not possible at this time but @Kitch can let you know for certain

                    Hi @ingo_luftrausch,

Unfortunately, dynamic button functionality as you are describing is currently only available to SoundFlow developers. If you're interested in being considered for the developer program, please send us an email at support@soundflow.org.

                        Thanks!

If you need a power user (film post production) but being „only/just“ a user with absolutely no programming skills, than I’m in.

                          Thanks @ingo_luftrausch,

                          Great to know!

The developer program requires a fair understanding of Javascript. But if you have any ideas that you'd like us to consider for future updates be sure to request them in the Ideas section of the forum :-)

                          Rock on!

                              Now its getting offtopic,
but while reading you last reply its like: “yeah, using soundflow feels like its made from developers for developers”

Don't get me wrong, soundflow is a game changer for ProTools, but for “normal” users like me customising soundflow is a real challenge. And most of the time I don't have the time to take the challenge.

You need more users in your developer Team, thats my request.

                                Thanks for your feedback @ingo_luftrausch,

We're always open to hearing suggestions from our users on how to improve SoundFlow, so if you have any please feel free to share them in the ideas section of the forum and we'll consider them for future updates.

Unfortunately, the creation of dynamic Decks and Surfaces is not as simple as creating a macro or writing a simple script, but we hope to eventually be able to find solutions that meet the community's needs for this.

                                Thanks again.

                                    Hi @Kitch,

Just like @ingo_luftrausch, it would be great for me to be able to change dynamically the Title of my buttons.
I use Edicue and even if the buttons I use have always the same function (create and rename a clip group on my first character track with my first button - or 2nd character track with my 2nd button...), it would be great if I could create a script which renames the buttons with the names of my character tracks.
You confirm that it's undoable for a simple user like me ?

Thanks for all of your good work,

                                    Jonas

                                      Hi @Jonas_Orantin,

As mentioned in a reply above, dynamic button functionality like this is currently only available to SoundFlow developers.

I would encourage you to request your use case in the Ideas section of the forum, that way it can be considered for future versions of SoundFlow.

If you're interested in being considered for the developer program, please send us an email at support@soundflow.org.
