Soundflow Won't launch

Hi, I run two machines with SF. One is a 5,1 Mac on High Sierra and the other a Macbook Pro running Ventura. My High Sierra mac has been working perfectly with SF 5.4.4 and I have no issues. My Macbook Pro runs SF 5.7.6. Some of the scripts don't run on th eMAcbook buut I'm happy as the HIgh Sierra 5,1 Mac is the main rig.

I recently just switched them so my 5,1 Mac is running and the SF app won't launch at all. All that happens is a get a orange/red SF icon appear for a second in my top bar then it disappears. I have downloaded a new version of SF and it does the same thing. I'm totally stuck and have no idea what to do next, any ideas?

    Thanks, Stuart

        Thanks for contacting SoundFlow support.

Please note, that the best way to get help with a script, macro or other content installed from the Store or content that you've made yourself, is to select the script/macro, then click the red Need help button, and then click "Get help with this script or macro".
By using this method, we will get access to more information and so should be able to help you quicker.
You can read more about how this works here: bit.ly/sfscripthelp

If you're seeing an error that isn't related to scripts or macros, and you think this is a bug in SoundFlow, please file a Help/Issue bug report.
You can see how to do this by going to bit.ly/sfhelpissue

I run a streamdeck 8x4 and I don't usually have to re-pick the Deck as I have named them identically, but the the last time I switched it I had to choose the deck on the laptop and since then it hasn't been recognised on the 5,1 mac

Hey @Kitch. I have managed to get the app working and have sent that help file as per the link you sent. Reverts to not working once a perform a restart or a cold start up. On some occasions I get a dark streamdeck and on others I get my deck fully populated with my buttons but they don;t respond due to the app not running.

Does anyone know if there are any .plist files or application data saved in either ~/Library or /Library I need to remove in order to start fresh again, or is everything enveloped in the SF app?

Thanks Kitch, I'd love to but as I can't launch the app I can't get to that menu.

                  1. Hi Stuart,

Thanks for reporting this here. I sent you a direct link over email to reinstall SF 5.4.4, which should get you working now.

We will need to investigate why the crash happens on your computer. To do that, once you've reinstalled 5.4.4, please follow the Help/Issue steps - this will also give us your crash reports and log files from 5.7.6 on the same computer to allow us to look further into this.

Thanks Cristian, I just went into panic mode as It's deadline day.. eek Once I've sorted this project I'll get to that download and reinstall. I also have a Time Machine which I'll also hook up and restore SF. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the quick responses everybody :)
