Plugin Replacer - Replace Plugin 'X' with Plugin 'Y'
So recently, I decided to deactivate one of my subscription plugins, which means I sadly have to say goodbye to using a few plugins I had used in my workflow. I am wondering if I could get some help regarding a universal script (or more specific if needed) that would essentially work as a 'Plugin Replacer'?
So, let's say my plugin was Eiosis' 'e2DeEsser' plugin, and every time the script initializes, it would 'find' the inactive (and removed) plugin, and it would then replace that plugin with whatever plugin I chose (maybe piggybacking off the Teezio loader??) This might be useful in a batch setting, but first it might be easier to get this working for the 'selected track'.
Thanks!!

Still needing some love for this, anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Jordan,
A half-arsed answer for now: Tristan Hoogland has a really (free!) good script on the soundflow store for almost exactly this purpose - it's for converting UAD to UADx plugins. The script is open source, so with a bit of tweaking I'd be surprised if you couldn't get something running with plugins that are specific to your workflow.

Hey Daniel, thanks for chiming in!
Holy crap, @Tristan put some SERIOUS work into that plugin! That must have took some serious time! Good to know there's something out there that really has some TLC into it!
I am definitely looking to do something much more simple, without all the bells and whistles of his (genius) script... I'll try whittling it down function by function and see if I can find a solution in there... I'm guessing it will turn out to be no more than 50 lines of code as compared to his 800+ lines hahaha!
Edit: After digging through, this script has SO many options, that I keep breaking things, trying to do one single instance. I was able to isolate part of the code, but it's really set up rn to be tuned for UAD... so good news is, I'll be using this to do some of the UAD stuff, bad news is, I may need something a bit simpler for this original post!

Trying to see if someone can help guide this one more time, since the UAD to UADx script didn't exactly do what I needed unfortunately.
