Hi, I'm new to Sound Flow and I'm loving it. I wasn't sure where to post this, but I'm wondering how I can find help with writing a script that is likely beyond my ability. I'm often getting stereo files from producers, mix engineers, etc. I listen via finder, Quicktime, or Apple Music and give notes based on the track timing. So for example, "12:03 - Turn down SFX" etc. I'd love to be able to do the following, but have no idea how to tackle it:
Listen to a stereo file via Quicktime (or Apple Music, or the finder, whichever is easiest) and hit a button on my Stream Deck when I have a note, have it pause playback, copy the playback time of the note to the clipboard, have it open my browser (where Google Sheets would be open), and I can paste the time into the doc then type my note. Is this possible, or even better is there something out there already that might be close? I know I can import the track into Protools and likely find a solution there, but the sheer volume of notes I have to give doesn't make that practical.
Also, I'd love to do a second script from the reverse. So I get a note from a client based on track timing from a mix I've sent them, and have Protools jump from the beginning of the track to the timing of the note given by the client. Not totally sure how that would work, but a lot of the sessions I'm in don't start at consistent spots like TV mixes, they just start in Protools where they start, and I often find myself clicking on the first clip in the session, then clicking to the time of the client note based on the "selection length" in protools. Needless to say that's time consuming.
Thanks, really appreciate any and all responses.
Best,
Chris

Hi Chris,
If you play back via Pro Tools instead, you can use the free Notes app that comes with SoundFlow to add notes in real-time while playing back. Those notes will be timestamped to the location you were in Pro Tools.
It also supports importing and exporting to/from PT markers, and various external things like Excel spreadsheets, CSV files, HTML and JSON files etc.
