Thanks for posting a question or an issue related to the 'ADR CUE Creator' package.
This package is made by @Owen_Granich_Young. We're auto-tagging them here so that they will hopefully be able to help you.

Please note, that the best way to get help with a script, macro or other content installed from the Store is to select the script you installed, then click the red Need help button, and then click "Get help with this script or macro".
By using this workflow, the developer of the package will get access to more information so they'll be able to help you quicker.

When I make a cue, the third option that come up is "Reason" and currently there are around 19 different reasons I can choose from "New line, Noise, etc" I would like to be able to put my own reason into this section. Example "Replace AI audio" or "Director Request" is there a way I can do that?

            Thanks!

            1. Hi sunny, I’m out of town and won’t be coding for most of the summer. I believe that edicue allows user defined reasons, but I personally have not worked with them. Outside of coding those additional reasons into the base lookup table and being sure they match the user reasons in edicue there’s no ‘easy’ way to put your own reasons in.

I’d suggest using the Notes section to manually note ‘replace ai’ (reason would be new line) and ‘director request’ (reason would be performance). Alternatively there’s an alternate template in there that sends you to the edicue software after creating the region group on the correct track and you can add user reasons from there I believe.

              1. By creating an editable copy of the script you can go to this lookup table and change the list of reasons. Just copy the syntax exactly and you should be good to go? So pretty easy, but you do need to bust into the code.

Here's where ppl helped teach me how to create this lookup table. Variation on naming for EDICUE ADR cue creation. #post-9

                good luck!

Thanks for this! The one thing I will say, is that I am actually not using Edicue, I am using it for ADR toolbox (which has a similar cueing format), so there is that factor. If use this code and instead of putting "[R1] = Clarity"" and I put in ""[RClarity] = Clarity" would it put "RClarity" into the text box in protools region group?

              1. Close, and yes you can totally rebuild the lookup table and copy the format. Basically it will show you the right side in the drop down menu and append the file with the left side. Of note Edicue uses the [] to denote the reason so in your example it would actually append [RClarity] to the textbox. If you want it to just read 'RClarity' remove the [] from the left side of the object pair.
