    ipad will NOT work unless connected to the internet?

    SoundFlow 5.8.0

    OS: darwin 22.6.0

    ProductName: macOS
    ProductVersion: 13.6.7

    Steps to Reproduce

    1. ipad is plugged directly into Mac Mini which is plugged directly into the internet, and yet the ipad will not work. Should I be using Streamdecks instead???

      Thanks for reaching out.

      Right now, using iOS and Android devices with SoundFlow requires a Wi-fi connection. If direct connectivity to iOS devices is a feature you'd like to see added in a future version of SoundFlow, please make a request in the Ideas Section of the SoundFlow user forum. That way, it will be logged for consideration in a future update.

      Please note that SoundFlow requires an active internet connection.

          Try the steps in the video, although not tested, it may be able to connect without the iPad being on wifi. :-)

          Hi Paul,

          What Kitch said is true for older versions of the iPad app, but on newer versions, it generally should work to download images etc. from the Mac, not via the internet.
          You may need to set up your iPad to be in flight mode to force it to connect via the cable.

            It would help if you can provide more details on exactly what you're seeing on the iPad to better understand which part is not working.

            Please note, for iPads to connect to the Mac, they'll need to be discoverable via Bonjour (zero config networking). This generally means using the same wifi router between your iPad and Mac. However, we've had success making this work via a tethered USB connection instead, but it does seem to work more reliably if the iPad is set to flight mode, so it doesn't use a separate wifi connection.

            (Note, this has to do with the iPad and Mac connecting to each other, and is not related to cloud/internet connectivity).
