Select track input not working properly
Hi team
It seems the Logic "select track input" function isn't working as intended anymore.
It keeps telling me it can't find the menu item. I've tried changing the path option from full path to channel path name, Long name but no luck whichever method I choose.
Are you able to help?
(as a side note, this also seems to fail when using the "create track" function with a specified input.
Here's the error:

In reply toMatthew_Brabender⬆:Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-09-23 04:34:31.988ZThanks for reporting. I shall take a look tomorrow. :-)
In reply toMatthew_Brabender⬆:Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-09-23 21:41:20.355ZCan you confirm what version of SoundFlow you are on and what version of the Logic Pro package you have installed? I have a feeling these two issues were fixed in an internal build that will be out soon.
Matthew Brabender @Matthew_BrabenderHiya Kitch
I'm running SF 5.8.2 and Logic package 1.5.0Cheers
Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-09-23 21:47:30.829ZOne more questions... What OS are you on?
Matthew Brabender @Matthew_BrabenderSorry, forgot to mention : Sonoma 14.7
In reply toMatthew_Brabender⬆:Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-09-23 21:46:40.529Z2024-09-23 21:54:34.150ZActually, there is a chance that I only fixed the "Select Track Output" functionality for this.
Can you take a screenshot of the menu path to the Input Path in Logic Pro.
I may also need a screenshot of how you have your Inputs set up in the "I/O Labels" window.
Hopefully, that will give me an idea of what is happening.
Thanks in advance
In reply toMatthew_Brabender⬆:Matthew Brabender @Matthew_BrabenderSure thing. Logic version 11.0.1
I did try a bunch of ways to make that work, for example:
Input Input 3
Input Input 3 (DAM L)
but no luck
Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-09-23 22:16:52.848ZDoes it work with these "Full Path" settings?

Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-09-23 22:54:51.448ZThanks for all this information. It must be a Sonoma-related issue. I shall dig deeper!
In reply toMatthew_Brabender⬆:Matthew Brabender @Matthew_BrabenderThe funny thing is, my new track macros no longer select the right input.
The input that is selected for a new audio track results in the default input instead of the specified one in the new track function.
The result always ends up with a new track with input 5 selected which is my default I believe no matter which input is specified in the macro

This issue is now tracked internally by SoundFlow as SF-1453
In reply toMatthew_Brabender⬆:Matthew Brabender @Matthew_BrabenderHiya Kitch
I'm starting to wonder if this is a soundflow issue or if it might be my Mac. I've seen a couple of strange Logic bugs and thinking it might be time for a fresh install of everything. Do you know if the issue replicable?
In reply toMatthew_Brabender⬆:Matthew Brabender @Matthew_BrabenderOk done some further testing ....
Switched over to my laptop (to make sure it wasn't my main Mac and it's the same).
However, select Input seems to work fine when using the 'User Long Output Name' method
Full Path, Channel and Driver Path throw errors for me. Which is fine for my use.Correct selection of the Input when creating a new track hasn't changed (as noted above)
Hope that's helpful (for when you're back Kitch!)

Thanks for the additional info, @Matthew_Brabender.
Kitch is off this coming week, but he'll look into it when he returns.

Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-10-21 23:33:31.671ZI've made some changes in the upcoming build for the Logic Pro package (1.5.7) that I hope to have out next week sometime.
From my notes they include...
- Improved: "Select Track Input" - Now more succinct when selecting the Input path by "Channel" Path Name, Driver path & User "Long" name.
- Improved: "Select Track Output" - Now more succinct when selecting the Input path by "Channel" Path Name, Driver path & User "Long" name.
The "Full Path" option should work already as it is just selecting the direct menu path, but I'll test it again to make sure. :-)
I've also made some changes in 1.5.7 to the "Create Track" command template to support the pop-up menu selection in Sonoma.
I'll keep you posted once the update is available. Rock on!
In reply toMatthew_Brabender⬆:Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-11-13 20:20:34.894ZThis issue should be fixed in Logic Pro package v1.5.7+, which is available for update. Thanks for your patience on this one.
Let me know how it goes for you.
