Logic Next/Previous Take and Select folder/track stack

Hi there, I am looking to add the next take/previous take function to my Logic Deck, is it at all possible? I couldn't find a macro for it. Also wondering is there any way to navigate a large composer template... like say jump to my solo strings section quickly and easily with soundflow?

Many thanks for a wonderful addition to Logic!!

      Hi @Mark_Murphy,

Thanks for taking the Logic Pro package for a spin. :-)

from your post, I'm not sure I quite understand the workflow you're trying to achieve. What would be the manual steps you'd take for the "next take/previous take" workflow you're after?

          Hi Kitch,

Thanks so much for you help. So I am trying to flip between different takes when I record to an audio and midi track in Logic to audition the best one. The key command is called "Select Next Take or Comp". And also I'm wondering is it at all possible to open specific track stacks via the stream deck so i could quickly bring up/highlight for instance my drums stack etc.

          Many thanks again,

          Mark.

Just to clarify... I record in loop record mode then go back through the takes within the take folder. I currently have a key command for it but would love it on my stream deck as well.

                Hi @Mark_Murphy,

It seems the "Select Next Take or Comp" action in Logic Pro is only available via a keyboard shortcut, and there does not seem to be a way to automate this functionality using UI automation.

With that being said, I'd suggest using a similar approach to what Chad has described for triggering a command using MIDI triggers in the following thread.

                Regarding your other question.

"is it at all possible to open specific track stacks via the stream deck so i could quickly bring up/highlight for instance my drums stack etc"

...It's best to keep forum threads focused on one topic, but please feel free to create another thread for that. :-)
