Bounce Factory Fails On Batch - Bounce Factory - Batch Failed
@Andrew_Scheps I would love to use and pay for this product if it worked like the videos. It looks like exactly what I need for generating stems for my Atmos mix template (love! your videos BTW). But, for me Bounce Factory has so far failed in its essential purpose. Any help to get this working would be great. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Soundflow and Bounce Factory more than once. I work on a three monitor system. I generally have the Edit window in top right, Mix window top left, and whatever I am focused on the center monitor. I have run Bounce Factory on the center screen separated from the Edit window per the best practices video. Initially the bounce window was coming up on the top left screen rather than over the Edit window as shown in the videos, so I closed out the mix window, moved the Edit window to the top left and tried again, but the error is the same. I've tried batches, single stems, etc. No joy.
This mix is only 20 total stems but I do a lot of them and most are much larger. I did not realize this little gem was a possibility. Sure hope you (or someone) can help.

Bounce Factory Support
The best and fastest way to get help with any Bounce Factory problem is to send the User Files and (if applicable) a screen recording of Bounce Factory failing. The easiest way to do this is to use the "Report a Problem" button in the app:
1. Go to the Bounce Factory settings using the cog in the bottom-right of the app:
2. Click the red "Report A Problem…" button at the bottom of the Settings screen
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Thanks!

Hi @Brian_Farrar ,
I’m sure it’s something specific. I’m out at the moment but I’ll have a look at the logs later tonight or first thing in the morning. Thanks for sending the user files and screenshots! If it’s failing consistently a screen recording might be useful as well. We’ll get you sorted!
Thanks,
Andrew- BBrian Farrar @Brian_Farrar
Hey @Andrew_Scheps thanks for your response. I disconnected my screen rig and ran it on a single screen so that the video would capture properly and got the same error. The link to the video is here:

Hi @Brian_Farrar ,
It's having trouble changing the source for the Bounce to physical output
Out 1-2 (Stereo)
. The Bounce Dialog is currently set toMON L/R (Stereo)
. Is it possible that the output changed name since taking the Snapshot? I know it's odd if it did happen, but it can't findOut 1-2 (Stereo)
in the source menu. If it does exist, then open your bounce dialog, manually set the source and then you can cancel to close the dialog. This will keep BF from having to change it so you can get your bouncing done while we figure out why it's failing. Thanks!

Hi @andrew_scheps - I don't think the output changed names, but I will relook at that again shortly when I shut down the session I am in now. But thanks for the tip and I really want to solve this. Thanks again!

If you can change the output to to
Out 1-2 (Stereo)
then it will bounce. Otherwise we can do a zoom at some point soon and figure out what's going wrong.

Hi @Andrew_Scheps - So I move between several different mixing and editing rooms. I thought maybe PT was just jacking up the i/o, so I reimported the default I/O, so the physical port is called MON L/R (as by default) and then there is a bus named MON L/R which is mapped to the physical output MON L/R. I retook the snapshot, and rebuilt the bounce list. Clicked "Bounce All" and It threw the same error, so I did as you suggested. I made sure MON L/R was selected on the bounce menu and hit cancel. Retried again only to get the same error.
Thanks again for your help!

Although in this room, the UAD is an Apollo 8 and it calls the MON L/R, and logical MON L/R is mapped to physical Output 1-2. That may have something to do with it maybe?...

It’s all about the text that Pro Tools puts in the menus. Let’s do a zoom and figure out what’s going on. I’m on UK time, what time zone are you in? Email me at info@bouncefatory.net and we’ll figure out a good time.
In the meantime can you send me user files from the system you remade the Snapshot and then tried bouncing from?
- BBrian Farrar @Brian_Farrar
@Andrew_Scheps I had to deliver the last mix and so made the bounces by hand. I had some other problems with that session that make me think, that I may not see the problem again on the next one before I take more of your time. I have another one in the pipe and will take another run at it on a fresh session. I will reconnect again if the problem remains. I really appreciate your help, and I really want to make this work. Thanks again!
Andrew Scheps @Andrew_Scheps
The best way to make sure you can go between systems and not be at the mercy of the I/O setup is to bounce an internal bus (which will always be there) as opposed to a physical output. Routing through an aux at 0 on the way out of the output will solve at least this issue.
Definitely let me know if you have any more problems!
