I've been getting a lot of "Bounces failed" errors lately

Hi Andrew, I've had this happen more frequently recently. I will set up my snapshots and have everything ready to go. Then when I click "Bounce all" I will get an error that simply says "Bounces failed." If I click OK, then try "Bounce all" again, it typically works on the second try. If it doesn't, I keep trying the Bounce All button until it eventually works.

I don't change or do anything else, other than trying repeated attempts with the Bounce All button.

Logs and user files can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mtmr3760hjqfgi0ajb1yw/Bounce-Factory-Data-bink-2025-01-02-12-30-34.980.zip?rlkey=xep42dz5e0035xkng945wt0bz&dl=0

Should be the last log entries, because immediately after this happened, I came here to open the issue.

Thanks for posting a question or an issue related to the 'Scheps Bounce Factory' package.
This package is made by @Andrew_Scheps. We're auto-tagging them here so that they will hopefully be able to help you.

Please see support instructions here from @Andrew_Scheps:

        Bounce Factory Support

The best and fastest way to get help with any Bounce Factory problem is to send the User Files and (if applicable) a screen recording of Bounce Factory failing. The easiest way to do this is to use the "Report a Problem" button in the app:

        1. Go to the Bounce Factory settings using the cog in the bottom-right of the app:

        2. Click the red "Report A Problem…" button at the bottom of the Settings screen

        3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

        Thanks!
        Andrew

            Hey @Blake_Eiseman ,

Each time it's failing it's having trouble getting Pro Tools to be responsive for some reason. Are these really big sessions or anything else weird? Once it gets going it's ok, so I'm not sure. If you can come up with a recipe to reproduce I'd love to go down the rabbit hole and fix it for good.

Probably not related but you should probably update to the latest SoundFlow (https://soundflow.org/account/install).

            Thanks!
            Andrew

Hi Andrew, thanks. I wish I could come up with a recipe, but like I said if I just retry it, it works. And no, definitely not a huge session, it was actually just a single stereo track with a couple plugins on it. So pretty much as simple as could be.

I'll keep an eye out and try to figure out when it happens. Also, weird about the Soundflow update, I actually tried updating from the app, but it said it was up to date. I just updated from the link you sent, so all good there now.

                    Strange indeed!

Sometimes the SoundFlow versions aren't on auto-update for security stuff. Like I said I don't think this would affect what you have going on anyway.

                    Keep me posted!
