StreamDeck Neo Support

I'm currently trying to use a StreamDeck Neo which I think may be a little new and not fully supported by SoundFlow yet. I decided to set it up in StreamDeck because that allows me to use the pages button on the physical stream deck BUT I have trouble getting the StreamDeck to trigger SoundFlow's macros/scripts.

Any possible support available for using the Neo in SoundFlow's Decks or is there a way to get the StreamDeck to work using the SoundFlow plugin for StreamDeck?

    Thanks,

    JM

    1. Hi JM,

Yes, you're right, the support for the Neo in SoundFlow doesn't extend to the touch-bar display at the moment.

Using SoundFlow through the Stream Deck app, while possible, is very hard to set up correctly, and has a long number of drawbacks. Before we introduced our direct integration, more than 50% of bug reports came from users unable to set this up correctly, because the Stream Deck app allows you (and encourages you) to set things up in a way that doesn't work. You have to walk a very narrow path to make it work reliably, and any deviation from the setup guide would render things inoperable. It's hard for our team to support this, since it puts a lot of pressure on our hours, but if you want to do it anyway, there's a guide available here:

      More details here:

      https://soundflow.org/docs/how-to/stream-deck/setting-up

What kinds of features would you like to see supports on the touch-bar if used with our direct integration?

Yeah, this makes sense. I'm managing and so far have no issues triggering commands in SoundFlow, I'm keeping it very simple on the StreamDeck and not imagining I'm going to have issues between the two but time will tell.

As far as the integration of the bar on Neo, I'm not sure the bar in the middle does anything other than display... If I could use it as a real time display, that could potentially be useful... like a take counter or a bar counter if I have to move my bar counter off screen and can't see it on the other screen.

For the buttons on the bottom right and left I'd probably just use them for something unimaginative like navigating to a different deck layout and I could configure where each button leads to in each deck.
