Anyone Seen This 'Split to Mono' Macro?

    Hi all,

Over a year ago, I used a macro that split a stereo track to mono, renamed the original stereo file, made inactive and hid the track - deleted one unneeded mono track - and renamed the remaining mono track to match the original name. It stopped working, so I let it go - but it was really useful, and now I can’t track it down. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks,

    Joe

    1. Track Data Utilities in the SF store does this. It doesn't rename the original stereo track but it does make it inactive and hides it

Thanks very much. Does it also remove the ‘.L’ or ‘.R’ from the new mono track you’ve chosen to keep? It’s not a deal breaker, but I’m still interested in finding that macro I used before.

Mizi Mix Pro Tools assistant also has a function like that i believe. Don't think it renames the original ST name tho.

                Hi there,

I know! Just discovered that and have watched the whole thing already - it looks super helpful! I’ve installed ffmpeg and tried the script. It’s not quite working for me yet, but I’ll troubleshoot tomorrow. Might come back to you on your main thread tomorrow.
