Press and hold a key down

It'd be great if there was a way to "press a keyboard key" but one that keeps the chosen key pressed down either for a set amount of time or until released. This would be great for fast forward and rewind functions while hearing the audio.

    Cheers,

    Carl

    1. Hi Carl,

You can achieve this using the Generic Button Commands template in the Basics package, where you can define different actions based on the key down and key up trigger (from a Stream Deck key or keyboard key).

@Carl.Glanville, expanding on Christian's post here - this is covered in this video on your Learning SoundFlow playlist on YouTube

The setup for the Fast Forward and Rewind action starts around 6:10, but watching the complete video is also great for learning the basics of working with Generic Button Commands.

Note: Generic Button Commands work for keyboard trigger and Stream Deck buttons. The example of using a keyboard trigger is outlined at the beginning of the same video.
