Script to send tracks to new routing folder and assign folder output from source tracks

    Hello!
I am trying to use the Andrew Scheps script to send selected tracks to a new routing folder, then reroute the output of that folder to the same output the selected tracks were previously assigned to. Here's a link to the thread where he shared his script(s):
How to automate "Move to folder" #post-18
I'd love for this to work with hardware outs too, but I'm getting an error whenever I try to run either script he shared. Any help is appreciated!

    1. Hey @Dryw_Owens, I have a command for this in my package in the store. It's called RS_Move to New Folder and the new folder can inherit both the routing and the color of the selected tracks. Give it a try!

Thank you so much! This works great and I have integrated your entire package.
1 note - using the send to routing folder script (inheriting routing from source tracks) will break if any of those tracks are inactive. It would be wonderful if the script could proceed through PT's "inactive track" prompts!
          Thanks again.

          1. @Dryw_Owens, ah that's a good catch! Will make sure the command can handle that in the next update.
Glad everything else is working for you otherwise!
