Replace Audio in Video
Any one else getting an issue with this? I updated the app but getting an error that says "There was an error converting your video: Error: Cannot read property 'split' of undefined.
The source movie is a .mov file - codec Linear PCM, H.264
The audio is a .wav 24 bit 48k
I updated the ffmpeg as instructed
Soundflow as all permissions granted
I'm on a Mac Studio M2 Max 2023
64 GB Ram
OS 14.8.2

If I have a sample of a video that does the error, it's probably the easiest way for me to investigate it. Send it to saxmand@gmail.com

Sure thing. Will send a bit later. Btw it doesn't work with any of my videos any more.

@JesperA did you get the files I sent?
Jesper Ankarfeldt @JesperA2026-01-29 17:44:32.256ZHey. Only had time today, but the link expired.
I wonder if it's an installation issue.
I just updated SF here, and tried with 2 different FFMPEG versions, and it worked.I'll download your video as soon as you send it now, so we can check if the issue could be there :) Thanks

I'll try reinstalling. here's the link again. thanks

btw where should the FFMPEG file be put?
Jesper Ankarfeldt @JesperA2026-01-30 13:57:47.942ZJust tested, no problems here.
I'm also on MacOS 14.5 so that shouldn't be the problem either.
The ffmpeg should be in "~/Library/Application Support/SoundFlow/v2/vendor/ffmpeg/ffmpeg".
You can find the location by opening finder and press cmd+shift+g, and paste in this path, to go to that folder. Maybe try and delete ffmpeg and it will direct you to install it next time you try to run a conversion in the app.

Still no luck It just hangs when trying to copy the file.

Jesper Ankarfeldt @JesperA2026-01-30 19:09:25.216ZI guess it doesn't have writing permission maybe, though that sounds weird.
Could you try and copy it in to the path I shared above
- JJonathan Grossman @Jonathan_Grossman
thats what I did and no luck.
I did user terminal to copy it to usr/local/bin
Maybe there's a conflict? How do I uninstall that and start fresh?

Finally got it working. Deleted the manually installed version. Then control-clicked on the ffmpeg file in the location you showed me and gave it permissions to open. That worked. Somehow it never showed up in the privacy area of settings. Thanks for working with me on this. Appreciate your time. Great app too! Such a time saver
Jesper Ankarfeldt @JesperA2026-01-30 21:33:34.703ZAh great. Happy that you figured it out.
Good info to know if someone runs in to the same thing!
