Entering Text on tracks launches Triggers

When trying to type text into a track Soundflow will still launch triggers. How do I stop this from happening?

    1. Hi Gregory,

Your "Protools Editing" profile uses SoundFlow's default triggers.
Some of our default triggers include "I" and "O" to change the input and output of a track, respectively.
      They also include some others.

These shortcuts automatically detect when you're typing text to rename a track, when you're saving a session etc. But unfortunately we don't know when the "Comments" field in Pro Tools has focus. So SoundFlow doesn't know to disable those shortcuts then.
There are a couple of workarounds:

      • Disable these triggers
      • Remap these triggers to other keys that require modifiers (so they won't give you issues with Track Comments).
      • Disable SoundFlow temporarily when you need to edit Track Comments.
      1. Please note that I'm seeing something else in your account that you may be interested in fixing.
You currently have different Profiles for different apps.
Usually you don't need to have an entirely different profile for each app you're working on.

Every Keyboard Trigger you set can be set to only work when a specific app is focused:

This is the preferred way to organize keyboard triggers in SoundFlow.

Profiles are meant to replace your entire workflow across all apps - and more than one Profile is rarely needed.
