Logic - Selecting menu Items containing ellipsis, copy track name, select track icon.

A few questions from a new guy!

How do I select menu items that contain ellipsis (the three dots)? Examples would be "File - Bounce - Regions in Place..." or "Track - Assign Track Icon..." When I use the usual method of "Click Menu Item" I get errors.

How do I grab a track name from one track in order to add it to another? Example: I take a track named "Piano", apply a macro that adds reverb, reverses, normalizes and puts the result on a new track. I would like the resulting track to be called "Piano Reverse FX"

Has anyone figured out how to use SF to pick a specific icon from Logic's goofy icon picker?

Thanks so much for your help!

      Hi Jon.

      Welcome to SoundFlow :)

Logic uses an actual ellipsis character, as opposed to just three dots. You should be able to make one by pressing Option+X on a Mac. (copy paste from here: …)

(Edit: Option+X is on a Danish keyboard layout, it is likely different on US/other layouts)

      1. For your other questions - it's easier to organize if you ask them as separate questions as each question has the potential to spur quite a long thread of its own :)
