Integration of Loupedeck CT into SF workflows
i tripped over the loupedeck controller and found that the hardware looked solid and versatile and wondered if it could be used with SF.
I guess it will be mostly a question of the propriatary software providing an interface for third party.

I have the same question.... The wheel and navigation buttons are kinda cool.

Hi, I’ve just got into Soundflow in the last few days and own a Loupedeck CT. After a few days of getting to grips I’ve managed to program about 20 new commands and integrated about 40 more directly to the Loupedeck. I’m a RX Standalone/PT operator doing Restoration and Mastering so RX tends to be the centre of my world. I’m using the Loupedeck as a front end controller, single ended commands with no waits and it’s working great. Those who rely on RX know how clunky and fiddley the RX Module sliders are. I mapped the 6 slider commands that Christian made up to the 6 CT knobs and they work perfectly. Next is to to get the Loupedeck wheel involved. It works great in RX or PT anyway, just reckon there’s more it can do.
I’m fed up with the lack of external plugin control for all the DAWs. Ableton 11 seemto be going the right direction but all the rest of the DAWs you have to go through a big rigmarole to get stuff onto an external controller.AlexanderW @AlexanderW
Hey Terry, great to hear you got the Loupedeck integrated. Was there any depper programming involved in this or is it possible to map buttons and encoders in some kind of GUI? I don`t own a Loupdeck yet but think it looks interesting.

Hi Alexander, Loupedeck app allows you map any key press. If you have a soundflow script, shortcut etc mapped to that key press then that’s now activated from the Loupedeck. You’ve keys, 6 rotary adjusters with key press and a very nice wheel with 4 programmable touch areas within so most rotary/fader/controls can be mapped very quickly. Lots of pre programmed stuff so it was fairly quick to map Soundflow shortcut/scripts to it. It has just got MIDI but fairly basic at the moment with PCs and CCs. Be warned it only works with what can be mapped to a standard English keyboard, no foreign language or extended version. The numeric keypad of an extended keyboard is not mappable so this is where Soundflow comes in and those PT mapped shortcuts can be put on the Loupedeck. I use it mostly with RX and for utilities/navigation on PT.

Thank you Terry for your detailed answer. The hardware really looks tempting. Still a bit expensive though. Maybe I will see if I can get a demo for testing it somewhere.

Yes, it’s expensive but a quality piece. The Loupedeck Live is half the price without the wheel and extra dedicated buttons. I’m considering adding this and sticking it on the corner of my Cintiq monitor. You can run a number of them and have them locked to an app or float as you change apps.
