How to control Expression, sustain and mod wheel on the first 3 faders on my Akai Midimix controller?
How to control Expression (CC11), sustain (CC64) and mod wheel (CC1) on the first 3 faders on my Akai Midimix controller? I have midi mapped this CC numbers using the midimix editor app and was able to control all 3 CC numbers on the 3 faders I mapped to. BUT, I could not record the midi pass in the midi automation lanes. Even though I had record enabled and latch engaged.
For this reason I assumed that I needed to have the HUI protocol setup?? Can anyone shed some light on this matter. thanks

I'm not sure I follow your question 100%.
If you're trying to record MIDI CC, why are you trying to route this through SoundFlow? My guess is you should be able to have your controller be directly connected to Pro Tools and have it record your MIDI input directly on those tracks.
If you're trying to route things through SoundFlow, you'll need to set up some custom scripts to convert your input MIDI to outgoing MIDI. Note that HUI doesn't have anything to do with MIDI CC values - HUI can instead be used to control volume of the mapped tracks and stuff like that.
