Bypass Plugin/Insert Before Bouncing
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to see if this was possible... Ideally using Macros and not script (since I suck at that)... haha.
I use Sonarworks Reference in all of my sessions, but you have to disable it before you bounce - which is annoying and I forget all of the time. I wanted to try and get a command that would... find Sonarworks plugin on my Master Bus, bypass it (or deactivate), and then open up the Bounce window.
I always have the Sonarworks plugin in the same slot on my Master Bus and use a template, so it never changes.
I would love some help with this!!

Yeah, this can be done with Macros! See the screenshot below:
Build your macro using the actions shown here.
On the 'Track Scroll To View' and 'Toggle Bypass Insert on Track' actions, you're going to put in the name of your Master track, and on the Insert Number of the latter action, you're going to put in the insert where Sonarworks resides.
The last part can be different depending on what version of Pro Tools you're on. Since PT 2020.11 the bounce window is now called Bounce Mix. If you're on an older version, that's going to be 'Bounce to Disk...'. Finally, make sure to pick the Bounce window on the 'Wait for UI Element' action.

Are you trying to run it in the mix window? Most of Soundflow's actions are Edit window only.
