Stream deck "Up" button
Hi @chrscheuer ,
Is there a way to take the "Up" button from the folders and use it on the DECK itself to be able to get back to the previous deck. For e.g. I have my Pro Tools deck and then I select the Izotope deck but want to go back to the pro tools deck without the application trigger. Can i steal the button from the Folder and use it?
Thank you, hope that makes sense.

Do you want the functionality or the icon?
If the functionality – currently, it's not possible to go to the "last" active deck. We are considering adding that feature though.
You can always make direct links to other decks though.- MMike Avenaim @Mike_Avenaim
More the functionality... But the button could be useful to fake it, haha

Have you seen Kitch's video on Deck navigation?
Maybe there's something here that can inspire to a solution :)- MMike Avenaim @Mike_Avenaim
Yeah - I’ve dialed in all sorts of cool stuff and @Kitch has helped me out. Just really anal about the logos haha.

That's awesome!
But my point with sharing the video is that you can essentially create your own "folder" like structure just by linking decks together, and then you can have full control over the icons for both up and down links.

Ok, right. I have something similar happening atm but I’ll check out the video to see! Thank you!

Hi @Mike_Avenaim ,
As @chrscheuer mentioned... From about 5:50 in the video I walk through the "Show Deck on Stream Deck" Macro Action. This can be used for more advanced scenarios like what you are after.
Rock on!

Checking out this thread because I've been wondering if there's a way to leverage the Full Deck's that are available in SF package? I'm guessing they're there to function as single deck repositories within the SF UI, but can they also be used on the Streamdeck devices themselves, with an ability to 'scroll' or 'page' to another set of button macros within the deck? I'm currently using a Streamdeck XL, and I'm aware that I could chain a series of decks to do the same thing, but that would require actually setting up the separate decks in the first place (for custom instruments and plugins). So, while thinking about 'deck arrangement ideas' I find myself going back to those full decks and wondering if they can be pressed into service on the actual Streamdeck devices...but that would be useless without an ability to navigate through the deck itself.
Has anyone leveraged the Full Deck's with an ability to navigate them if loaded onto a hardware device? Instead of a folder navigating to a different/previous deck, the macro would navigate to a specified line/column within a deck of a given dimension.
And one other, somewhat related question: can opening a window in Logic trigger a Soundflow macro, like opening a specified deck, particularly on a different Streamdeck device? That would be hot. Cheers.

This is a good idea, but of course to fully navigate in a 2-dimensional space, you would end up needing up to use 4 buttons on the device for this (left, up, right, down), which seems wasteful. If you can think of a more space-conserving way to do this, I'm all ears.
I'm also thinking different users might have different ideas for how this would ideally work. We should find a solution that has broad appeal before potentially implementing this.- TThomas Linder @Thomas_Linder
Allow external triggers to address a deck template (presumably described by a 2D array?) of arbitrary size, up to the 99 max limit, shifting the display L, R, Up, Down?
That way, no device buttons need be sacrificed for navigation. But, like Bank buttons on a controller, other external hardware (qwerty kybd, MIDI controller, KM script, etc) could be assigned and, if triggered, the script could be captured by SF for deck-navigation purposes? Of course, this is assuming that the device display can be 'dynamic'? Don't know if that's the case for Streamdecks?
Just a thought...

That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing :)
