How to import a 3rd party profile into SoundFlow

I purchased a FCPX profile for Streamdeck and installed it into Streamdeck before I started using SoundFlow. Now I just want to install that FCPX profile into my SoundFlow account, so I can work from SoundFlow alone, without opening Streamdeck app. That way I can focus the FCPX deck to open when I open FCPX.

    1. Hi Glenn,

Stream Deck profiles are designed for the Stream Deck app. SoundFlow has a completely different format for storing what you see on your Stream Deck – we call them Decks.

There's no automatic way of converting Stream Deck profiles into SoundFlow Decks, at this moment. The two apps have significantly different ways of operating under the hood.

If your FCPX profile is mainly just using hotkeys and has some icons, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to recreate the profile in SoundFlow fairly easily.

You can also choose to keep using the Stream Deck app for the integration (instead of SoundFlow's direct integration) – then, you can use the profile as is. However, the Stream Deck app's integration with 3rd parties like SoundFlow is more complicated to set up correctly and is more buggy than SoundFlow's direct integration, so I can understand why you want to move over to SoundFlow.

To recreate the profile, it might not take you very long. You can find the png icons from your Stream Deck profiles here:
