    1. Hi Sam,

Thanks so much for this report. I can definitely see the issue in the log file - this particular issue has not been reported before, but it looks like one of the connected USB devices appears to disconnect/connect as you said approx every 30-60 seconds.

It's likely that the device this happens to is not necessarily your Stream Deck but one of the other devices, but there may be a bug in SF that makes SF reload all HID devices (including the Stream Deck) when this occurs.

It would be interesting to test out a bug fix for this. I understand your team moved on to another program for now, but if you're interested in testing a bug fix, let me know. Since we don't have any other customers with this issue, we'd need to collaborate with you in order to test/fix/verify.

      1. Hi Samuel,

Just following up here. I think the easiest way to troubleshoot this would be to disconnect as many of the following HID devices as possible.

        Apple Headset 000000000000 (VID 05ac, PID 8103, version 2.6)
        Logitech MX Master 3 Mac 9FC53291392F18BB (VID 046d, PID b023, version 0.15)
TC Electronic with fsl-usb2-udc HID Gadget (VID 1220, PID 006e, version 3.25)
C-Media Electronics Inc. USB Advanced Audio Device (VID 0d8c, PID 0022, version 1.12)
Logitech USB Receiver (VID 046d, PID c52b, version 24.11)
Elgato Stream Deck XL CL46I1A03697 (VID 0fd9, PID 006c, version 2.0)
LG Electronics Inc. USB Controls 004NTAB22960 (VID 043e, PID 9a39, version 2.14)
Logitech USB Receiver (VID 046d, PID c52b, version 24.11)
Logitech USB Receiver (VID 046d, PID c52b, version 24.11)

If you go to SoundFlow's icon up by the clock, then scroll to the 2nd page and click Open Log File, you'll be able to see the log in real-time.

You'll notice that approx. every 30-60 seconds, this text is logged:

        10.04.2021 11:56:59.21 <info> [Backend]: HID Devices Available:
        Apple Headset 000000000000 (VID 05ac, PID 8103, version 2.6)
        Logitech MX Master 3 Mac 9FC53291392F18BB (VID 046d, PID b023, version 0.15)
TC Electronic with fsl-usb2-udc HID Gadget (VID 1220, PID 006e, version 3.25)
C-Media Electronics Inc. USB Advanced Audio Device (VID 0d8c, PID 0022, version 1.12)
Logitech USB Receiver (VID 046d, PID c52b, version 24.11)
Elgato Stream Deck XL CL46I1A03697 (VID 0fd9, PID 006c, version 2.0)
LG Electronics Inc. USB Controls 004NTAB22960 (VID 043e, PID 9a39, version 2.14)
Logitech USB Receiver (VID 046d, PID c52b, version 24.11)
Logitech USB Receiver (VID 046d, PID c52b, version 24.11)

This indicates that SoundFlow thinks that (at least one of) the HID devices have changed, causing it to reload the Stream Deck.

If there's a way for you to try to remove some of these devices to try to narrow down the issue, that would be extremely helpful. It could help us understand why it keeps reloading.

In addition to that, we've logged a bug report for trying to fix that even if it reloads, it shouldn't disconnect/reconnect the Stream Deck. That code should already be in SF, but we're trying to figure out why that doesn't happen in your case - hence why getting your help with narrowing down which device causes the repeated reloads would be extremely helpful :)

Is the fix active? I just switched on Soundflow and it's continuing to drop out - don't have time to unplug stuff unfortunately, we're in the middle of mixing two projects, cheers!

            1. Hi Samuel,

As I mention above, before we can narrow down why the issue occurs, we won't be able to fix this. You're the only customers who are currently experiencing this, so we would need to work with you to figure out why it's happening for you before we can work on a fix.

I fully understand if you don't have the time to help us help you with it :) Let me know if you want to pursue this some time in the future.
