Clip gain value

Is there a way to set a value for clip gain?
More specific, it can be handy if I can drop the volume of a clip with 10dB at once. Especially handy for breath control between words. Now I have to scroll with the mousse and shift but that takes a while if my value is set to 0.5dB.

    1. Unfortunately I don't think there's a speedy way to do this except for repeating the keystrokes X number of times which may still be slow because PT does that slowly...

@chrscheuer how do you think is it possible to marry SF with Defaulter plugin https://quietart.co.nz/defaulter/, it does more or less the same. It uses Keyboard Maestro to click Analyze, switch to next clip/track. Also maybe with "do for each clip" method SF can solve the issue with fades, for now, it prohibited using Defaulter to normalize clip gain.

          1. Exactly, using the do for each clip in companion with the Analyze button click should get you there.
There are examples for both methods around on the site - let me know if you encounter a block and need help.

            1. @poterukha if we get a script working for this we should definitely first push it into a Package on the Package Store and then reach out to QuietArt to let them know about it. Either that or we make our own Defaulter plugin which could potentially work better.... Hmm..

Ok, made some pease with a workaround:
In clip effects, I can set the input gain of a clip. Made a preset with -10dB so now it's just one button away. :-)
