Script to invert automation points?

    Hello!

I'm wondering if there is a script that can invert automation points, for example, translate a pan value from L to R proportionatly, or -1.00 to +1.00 and vice versa. Essentially looking for a 'polarity flip' for an automation envelope. Might it be possible to create that in SoundFlow?

Would be huge for some creative automation tricks in Pro Tools.

    Thank you SF community :)

    1. That's a tough one: There's no way to directly address automation breakpoints via SoundFlow

Blast! I was hoping such a procedure existed. @chrscheuer is this something that might be implemented in a future release, or are the other limitations at play?

          Thanks again

          1. Hi Curtis,

As Chris mentioned, this is currently limited by external factors so SF alone could not implement this.

Do you think now Pro Tools allows you to jump to automation nodes, there would be a way? I guess would still need to recall the value somehow.

                1. I do think we might gain access to this in the future, but to code it now would take a massive amount of waiting on the script to iterate through parameters and typing text into mixer fader text fields endlessly. Not sure it would be worth it.

Thanks and all the best Christian :-)
