      Hi @Gisle_Tveito,

I'm sorry you are experiencing this. This 99% of the time is due to the Stream Deck device restarting because it temporarily is lacking enough power delivered on the USB bus.

If you are using a USB hub or adaptor, please try to connect the device directly to your computer (no hub or adapter), not as a solution, but as a first troubleshooting step. If that works, you know that it's the hub/adapter/power delivery.

If you are connected directly to the computer, try another USB port to see if that resolves the issue.

Let us know how you go. :-)

I have already tried that. I also reinstalled my old mac, and then everything is working fine. The streamdeck is connected and working.

            Thanks @Gisle_Tveito.

@chrscheuer and I shall look at the log files to see if we can find a solution.

            Thanks for your patience.

          Hi Gisle,

Can you provide us some more details as to what you're experiencing? What are you seeing on the Stream Deck?

From the log file, this is what shows up:

          03.11.2021 00:21:27.60 <info> [Backend]: HID Devices Available:
Apple Inc. Apple Keyboard (VID 05ac, PID 0250, version 0.74)
          Wacom Co.,Ltd. Intuos5 touch S (VID 056a, PID 0314, version 1.0)
          Wacom Co.,Ltd. Intuos5 touch S (VID 056a, PID 0314, version 1.0)
          Logitech Gaming Mouse G502 137D34573736 (VID 046d, PID c07d, version 88.2)
Apple Inc. Apple Keyboard (VID 05ac, PID 0250, version 0.74)
          Wacom Co.,Ltd. Intuos5 touch S (VID 056a, PID 0314, version 1.0)
          Logitech Gaming Mouse G502 137D34573736 (VID 046d, PID c07d, version 88.2)

This indicates that macOS doesn't report the Stream Deck as connected. If macOS can't see the device, neither can SoundFlow.

              Thanks. I found it!

For some strange reason the stream deck needs to be on a different hub to be seen by the mac-pro.
When I use my mac-mini it works perfectly on the original hub. All of the iloks and harddrives on the hub is seen by the mac-pro. It also powers the stream deck display. The hub has external power.
The strange thing is that it worked on the original hub for a while. But I'm happy with just moving it to another hub.

              1. Great to hear :)

I've had similar issues in the past as well. They are very power hungry devices so even with powered hubs they can run out. We've even seen people exhaust the power delivery of the internal USB hub in a Macbook Pro by having 3-4 devices attached and a Stream Deck.

But great to hear this resolved it.
