Soundflow + Kensington Trackball
Hey yall
My computer doesn't support the native Kensington app to customize the buttons on my trackball so I decided to use soundflow to get a few shortcuts!
The problem is that whenever I try to assign a trigger soundflow reads both top left and right buttons as the same one. Any way to fix this?

Hey Hendrick!
Try setting it up as a HID Device Trigger. I was able to get SF to see those two buttons as distinct buttons that way!

That’s genius!

Yeah I tried that but it didn't work for me... Maybe because I don't have the kensington works app? I can't have it installed because it doesn't work with my computer.

That's a bummer... I don't have the KensingtonWorks app installed either so I was hoping this would work for you as well.

Hey @Hendrick_Valera and @raphaelsepulveda,
Have either of you got 'chording' to work on a Kensington Trackball? It's basically when you press two buttons together to make a 'third button'. I can't get Soundflow to recognise chording using the HID Device Trigger but would love to!
Please let me know if you know of a way.
Thanks!

Generally speaking, you shouldn't use SF as a pseudo mouse driver via HID triggers as it's not that reliable. Also, you can't program a chording function in SF.
I highly recommend using Steer Mouse:
