    Temp Markers and Bars|Beats

    System Information

    SoundFlow 4.3.8

    OS: darwin 17.7.0

    ProductName: Mac OS X
    ProductVersion: 10.13.6
    BuildVersion: 17G14033

    Steps to Reproduce

    1. Set PT to Bars|Beats
    2. Create Temp Marker
    3. Goto Temp Marker

    Expected Result

In step 3 above, the counter should go to the Temp Marker position.

    Actual Result

The fields in the main counter flashes repeatedly.

    Workaround

Setting the mode to Min:Secs before the Create Temp Marker command, and then back to Bars|Beats. The same for the Goto Temp Marker command. (Observation - if I set the location to, for example, 4|1|000, the Goto Temp Marker command sets the position to 3|4|959 using this method.)

    1. Thanks so much for this detailed report!

If you disable the sub counter, does it then work as expected?

          You mean in the ruler?
No, that doesn’t change the behaviour.

          1. Not in the ruler per se, but in the display where the green numbers on the black background is.
Unfortunately I'm right now on a laptop where I don't have PT installed so can't double check myself.

But if you already tested that then we'll have to have a look here. I know that we have users using Bars|Beats mode with SF marker features, but not sure why it doesn't work in your case.

Would you be able to provide us a copy of your ptx session file? You can remove all tracks and all media, so that we just get a session that has your settings. That should help us reproduce this quicker.

            1. Oops nevermind, I can reproduce it here :)
Just got PT installed on Monterey with M1 chip (it actually works!)

              1. This is now tracked internally as SF-412 :)

                1. This will be fixed from the upcoming 5.0.7 release of SF :)
