Send Midi to SoundID via Soundflow

    Hello,

Does anybody know how to simply trigger Midi notes for SoundID to listen for? I can do this very easily via a midi keyboard by having SoundID listen for a Midi note, hit a button/key and it will learn it.
I'm trying to incorporate Soundflow so that I can also use the UAD Console macros along with the SoundID Midi triggering (all with one button press) to flip to alternate speakers (via UAD Console) and change the preset in SoundID. One button for Mains, another for Alts, and maybe a 3rd for headphones.
Is there a standard Midi signal that a keyboard typically sends that Soundflow can mimic? Also, I know there is another thread that mentions using Pro Tools presets (this was with sonarworks 4) but I'd like to try to utilize the midi triggering in SoundID since that will be more universal with the plugin and Systemwide app from SoundID. Thank you for your help!

      Hi @Blake_Bunzel,

I don't have SoundID installed, but you can possibly use the "Send MIDI Note On/Off" Macro action for this :-)

      I hope that helps :-)

That did it!! Looks like I was just missing the adjustment of the Output Number/Note Off/Midi Note. But that now works. Oof! That macro alone is worth the price of admission. Thank you Kitch!

@Blake_Bunzel mind posting more info about the Macros you're using with UAD / SoundID? I'm trying to do the same thing. Are you just using UAD MIDI mapping to trigger the "ALT" speaker toggle and then simultaneously running each SoundID preset as part of each speaker set's macro? Mind sharing the Macro you ended up writing?

I know this is a bit old now - but wondering if @Blake_Bunzel has any more info or this is still working? I have Soundflow sending midi commands to UA Midi control to control my speakers, but SoundID Systemwide doesn't seem to 'hear' the midi from Soundflow and isn't recognizing it. I was able to use normal midi controllers to control the midi on SoundID Systemwide so this all should work. I can't find any info that SoundID would just listen on a specific channel or anything? Any help is much appreciated!

                1. If I remember correctly, SoundID only responds to MIDI note off, so make sure you're sending those.

Perfect! That did it. That did not occur to me at all but now I guess I do recall hearing of things that respond to note off. Haven't done much midi stuff in awhile. Much appreciated!

Hello guys, no success for me trying to be able to switch speaker profiles from the Streamdeck.
Also, do I need to set a button for each profile?
And please correct me if I am wrong: I am expecting that after setting up the streamdeck button, I can just go into sound ID, right click + midi map then press the button on the SD and it will be mapped.

I seem to be missing something:

These are the options I have to select the output, not sure what those SSL ones are.

Thank you for any help ;)
