Batch Bounce failed!

    Hi, I followed the tutorial videos and am receiving a "Batch Bounce failed!" error after the first bounce. The error notification in the Mac notification panel says "File does not exist". I'm unsure what file it is referring to. The process was generally identical to the setup in the videos (within one of my sessions).

    Also does the SMS notification system work with an Android phone?

    Edit: This seems to be happening when I type in a sub-directory within the default "Bounced Files" folder using the "Session Folder" option under "File Destination".

    Also if the track size of the destination track for importing after bounce is mini, an error occurs where the script can't click the new playlist menu option on the track.

        Thanks very much for the feedback! I will definitely have a look a the subdirectory thing, I have a feeling it's just a dumb bug and I'll be able to fix that later today. Same with the destination track height. Thanks for reporting!

        Texting should definitely work to an Android phone, just make sure you put in your number in international format (+1 etc if you're in the US).

            @Andrew_Scheps awesome. This app is for sure a game changer and what it does is literally the primary reason I started the SoundFlow trial. I'm possibly just a weirdo with the way I do things lol.

            I think an issue I'm having with the texting is my iMessage app not being able to sign in to my Apple ID. BF opens the app but can't do anything untill it signs in. I don't typically use the Mac mail/message apps because I'm in the Google ecosystem, so I'm using the browser for email. But I did set up the Mac mail app and it works perfectly. Texting is just way quicker. I've always had issues with my Apple ID and apps, I never had a reason to use it until now.

            What I'm thinking for the subdirectory thing is that there is a moment where the directory needs to be created, which does happen, and the bounce is there, but it tries to import or read the file in the milliseconds before the directory is created. Might be a simple "wait" command. If I use the destination dialogue instead it works fine, it's just way faster to type in a destination directory and have PT create it. It's also one less thing I have to worry about in my script for creating a new mix session, which I'll be putting up once I can generalize it for everyone.

                Hi Ryan,

                Thanks for that. I didn't realise that the directory didn't exist until the bounce happened. I think an easier thing is to let the app create it when you save the snapshot. I'll investigate!

                And yes, I have to use the mail app or messages, no other reliable way to do it. Every Mac will have those apps.

                    Hi @Ryan_DeRemer ,

                    I'm unable to reproduce the issue with the subdirectories here. If I specify a subdirectory that doesn't exist, the app can still find the file after a bounce. If you can find a way to reproduce this 100% please post again and maybe we'll zoom so I can figure out what's going on.

                    The tracks size issue when adding mixes to playlists is fixed in 1.0.5 (coming soon)

                        So I just ran a test and got a screen recording for your reference. It seems the directory and wav file are both created as soon as the bouncing progress bar starts. So I have no idea why it errors. Even when it's not set to import after bounce. Hope the vid helps!

                            Aha! I think I see the issue. The app is expecting a '/' at the end of the text in that dialog box. I will fix that right now for 1.0.5!

                                            Works like a dream. I watched client wav+mp3, import file, 4 alt mix passes, and 19 stems all bounce flawlessly. It was a sight to behold :)

                                      Hi Andrew

                                      I am receiving Batch Bounce failed messages as well. Ive tried it with a couple of different sessions, one of which was just audio routed to a master with no plug ins. How can I show you a log of what is happening?

                                          Hi @George_Apsion ,

                                          Please start a new thread in the Bounce Factory forum with as much info as you can. Then run the Collect User Files script in the Bounce Factory package and send me a link to the zip file it puts on your desktop. If it’s happening all the time it should be an easy fix.
