Hi Greg,
Thanks for reporting. This sounds very weird. Do you have any other keyboard simulation software installed?
Would you be able to make a screen recording where you talk us through what you're seeing? It would also be helpful troubleshooting wise to check with different types of actions, as well as different types of triggers, to narrow down what's causing this, ie.
- Narrow down if it's due to a specific trigger type
- Or if it's only specific actions
- Does it happen always or only sometimes (the delay)
- Does the Pro Tools session have any impact on this, ie. do you see the same issues with different sessions
- Do you have any other software running that could be interfering
- Do you have AudioSuite windows open? We have seen in the past that some AudioSuite windows render on the Pro Tools main thread which makes Pro Tools unresponsive in receiving SF commands.
We haven't heard any other bug reports like this, so we would have to do this troubleshooting to figure out why it's not working reliably on your setup.

It is a variable delay, the minimum is 13 frames and sometimes it is almost 5 seconds. It appears to happen on Pro Tools commands, capture, suspend, auto match, write to all, write to end, show inserts, send to Rx, show audio suite plugins. The only thing that is not delayed is when I show different decks.

I just found that the delay is when I am playing in Pro Tools, when parked it seems to operate much faster.

Ah ok, I see. The way SoundFlow communicates with Pro Tools is probably not fast enough for real-time work that you do while playing back. This is limited by the mechanisms available to us to communicate with Pro Tools today. It's possible this could be improved in the future if we get better ways to talk to Pro Tools, but for now, this limitation/delay most likely happens inside Pro Tools itself, because it is delayed in processing the events it receives from SF while also playing back.
