Restoring original level after vocal up/down mix?
Hi,
I'm wondering if there's a way for BF to restore original track levels after printing a vocal up/down pass.
My workflow for printing vocal up/down passes has been:
- Take a separate snapshot
- Adjust level of my lead vocal bus (up or down)
- Proceed with snapshot
- Restore level to initial state
Later, when I go to bounce passes from all my snapshots of a given session, BF successfully bounces the vocal up/down mixes, but if those are the last things it bounces, the session is saved and closed with the vocal bus level either up/down. Is there any way to get around this so the bus level is set back to the session as it was previously saved?
Thanks!
Daniel

Thanks for posting a question or an issue related to the 'Scheps Bounce Factory' package.
This package is made by @Andrew_Scheps. We're auto-tagging them here so that they will hopefully be able to help you. Please note, that the best way to get help with a script, macro or other content installed from the Store is to select the script you installed, then click the red Need help button, and then click "Get help with this script or macro".
By using this workflow, the developer of the package will get access to more information so they'll be able to help you quicker.

In reply toDaniel_Neiman⬆:Andrew Scheps @Andrew_SchepsHi @Daniel_Neiman ,
At the moment there isn't. I make sure to always bounce the Standard Mix pass last for each snapshot but at the moment there's no way to 'nominate' a particular Snapshot as having priority over any other Snapshot for the same session. I always just put the main mix level in the comments. I have ben thinking about this but still haven't come up with a way to do it that makes sense, but I have several half ideas...
Thanks,

Thanks @Andrew_Scheps. You say you make sure to bounce the standard pass last -- is there a way to elect the order in which the passes are bounced ahead of time, or are you just doing this manually?
Andrew Scheps @Andrew_SchepsIf you have multiple bounce passes in the same snapshot, the Standard mix pass is always bounced last so the solos, mutes and playlists are set back the way the session was saved. The issue is if you have more than one snapshot for the same session, like when you're doing a vocal up, there's no way right now to say what order the Snapshots will bounce in.

Got it. Thank you!
