      Hi @Hakan_Glante,

Would you be able to upload a screen grab of the "playback cursor locator" you are referring to?

      Rock on!

          Thanks Kitch - here’s a few pics.
If it’s possible to automate a click on this small blue triangle (red when some track(s) being record-enabled) or in some other way get the TimLine into view when it’s off-screen.

          Edit Window

          MIDI Editor 1

          MIDI Editor 2

Ahh I see the triangle now, viewable when you are in dynamic transport.

So I can understand more, what is the reason behind wanting to click the triangle?

When in a large/long session, when I’m zoomed in (in the Edit Window or the MIDI Editor), while the TimLine is off-screen and I want to get it into view without zooming out or using the mouse to click that tiny triangle.

Ah I see, have you tried simulating the "Q" keyboard Shortcut using the key press macro action?

                    Thank you, Kitch!
That’s funny, such a basic function, and I’ve missed it.
I think it’s called Catch in Logic, so I searched for some ”Catch” keyboard shortcut, without success.
                    Thanks again!

Glad that worked for you. :-)

                          Hello again Kitch!

If it’s possible and not too much trouble it still would be nice to have such a command.
If you have ”Link Timeline and Edit Selection” engaged, and select something the Q key doesn’t show the playback cursor if it’s off-screen.
When in the Edit Window you can use a Continous Window Scrolling command to locate the cursor and current measure/time, but that doesn’t seem to work in the MIDI Editor.

                            Hi @Hakan_Glante

Have you tried using the left arrow key?

If ”Link Timeline and Edit Selection” is enabled and I select something the left arrow key focus/centers the start/left of the selected region and the right key the end.

                                  Ahh, I see.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a way to do that AFAIK.
