Copy to tracks in specific order...

    Hey,

So I have a script that copies all my dialogue clips on to Dialogue Tracks in my template but i'd like to change the order that the paste attempts are made. The whole idea being that it'll stop clips being pasted over the top of current clips.

I'm aware there is a script that does part of this process...

But the change i'd like to make is for the paste tracks to run in a different order but based on the position of the current paste track ie...

If I have a clip that I want to paste on DX Track 3, but it's got a clip on it already, the script should paste on to DX Track 4, if that track has a clip on it, then it should paste to DX Track 2, if that has a clip then DX Track 5, then DX Track 1 etc etc.

The attempt paste order should be current paste track + 1 then paste track - 1, paste track + 2, paste track - 2, etc

The reason for doing this is that it's a more meaningful track layout for my template and workflow, especially if being automated.

The paste track won't always be DX Track 3 obviously, should it should work following the order above starting on any track from 1-12.

Look forward to seeing this one!

    Cheers,

    Iain
