How To Use?

Hello @chrscheuer & @Owen_Granich_Young How do I use this? What does it do? I have clips labelled as (Mix L) and Mix (R) in the clip channel name. These clips are scattered all over the AAF and would like to auto sort this into Scratch1 and Scratch2 tracks. Is this possible somehow? I'd like to be able to tell a script to auto sort the AAF based on channel name. eg. (Kevin) -> DX_1, (Pamela) -> DX_1, (contributor1) -> DX2, (Mix L) - Scratch 1 (Mix R) -> Scratch2.

Thanks for posting a question or an issue related to the 'AAF ORGANIZER' package.
This package is made by @Owen_Granich_Young. We're auto-tagging them here so that they will hopefully be able to help you.

Please note, that the best way to get help with a script, macro or other content installed from the Store is to select the script you installed, then click the red Need help button, and then click "Get help with this script or macro".
By using this workflow, the developer of the package will get access to more information so they'll be able to help you quicker.

          Hi Denis,

That is not how this Template works. This template works by selecting a file and then running a preset with an array of tracks defined. It will then send that file to the next available track in that preset array.

So for example if I'm recording foley props after finishing a recording with my file highlighted I can send I can press my props preset, and it will move the file to the first available track of foley props record that doesn't alreayd have a file.

You then get this as the result.

I called it AAF organizer as that was the original posters requested use that @chrscheuer wrote it for.

          Hope that clears it up.

This script might get you more in the ball park, but it looks pretty complicated.
Split Out Repetitive Sfx from an BIG AAF's to their own track.

          Best of Luck,
          Owen
