Set Fade-In + Fade-Out Slope Types
Hi there, is there a way to set up a macro to set the Fade-In + Fade Out slope types. I have to move a lot between equal power and equal gain using Pro Tools -> Preferences -> Edit Tab -> Default Fade Settings: [Fade In...] + [Fade Out...} buttons.
It there a way to automate setting Fade In + Fade Out slope settings to Equal Power and a separate automation to set them both to Equal Gain
- Select Pro Tools Menu
2, Select Preferences - Select 'Edit' Tab
- Press 'Fade In...' button
- Set to 'Slope' to 'Equal Power'
- Press 'OK' on Fade-In box
- Press 'Fade Out...' button
- Set to 'Slope' to 'Equal Power'
- Press 'OK' on Fade-Out box
- Press "OK on Pro Tools Preferences box
And a separate command to change both to Equal Gain.
Thanks alot

Hey Gary,
I have a way I've been doing this that involves using your Fader PRESETS 1-5 if you don't make use of all of them yet.
In my Package =CUTS= you can find the Command Template 'Fade Presets Any Fade Window' -- It will take a little setup to set your fader presets to the settings you want (HOLD CMD and press the number you wish to assign the preset to) but then upon button press it will open Fade In Out or Batch-fade window and set to the desired preset and close the window again. I have the three main fade types set to 1, 2, and 3 on my keyboard as I don't personally use those to switch tools, and I'd say it's my most used macro.
Here's an example video of it https://www.dropbox.com/s/rampwhcf2uynikn/Fade Presets.mov?dl=0 first I manually open batch fade and show you my 3 presets then I run presets 1-3.
Alternatively @sbiss has built an in-depth deck to control the batch fades window called 'Pro Tools - Deck - Batch Fades' in the store you can search up for more control without using up your valuable presets.
Hope that helps!

Thanks alot Owen! Your package looks fantastic and works great with launching the Fader Presets (which I have never used before).
Only problem is that I can't seem to store my custom Fader presets. I know you're supposed to hold cmd + click on the preset number to set your custom preset but it just will not store it for me. I've tried bypassing SoundFlow and my mouse software but no joy. Very strange! Do you know if there's another way to store them by any chance?

Holding down CMD + Clicking the number with left mouse click isn't working?! I have no idea how else to do it!

@Gary_Keane you have to cmd click the numbers in the batch preset window, not in the preferences fade preset window.
