How to Create 'Press and Hold' Macro Keys to Be Triggered by StreamDeck?

I want to set up SD keys that will allow me to press and hold those keys (one at a time) until I let go.

For instance....I want to set up keys to increase and decrease Clip Gain volume on clips. The PT macro for this is Control-Shift-Up/Down Arrows. I can set up the macro in SF3 and assign it to a key on SD, but when I hold the SD key, nothing happens. I'm guessing that there's a missing link that I need to add oin order to make these macros work, but I can't find anything in the documentation that relates to 'press and hold'. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place.

I realize that I'm a newbie to SF3 but so far the documentation hasn't helped me much. Luckily SF is very intuitive so I've been able to figure most of this out on my own. I'd love to see the documentation updated, though I know that Christian has more than enough on his plate at the moment.

    1. Hi @Ron_Aston
We don't support press-and-hold actions on neither the Stream Deck nor on regular keys yet.
There's no simple workaround for now for this unfortunately, but I'll see what we can do. It's been a long standing user request.

Thanks for this info, Christian. For me this isn’t a high priority at the moment. I actually like adjusting clip gain using the scroll wheel command.

I’m really getting more and more into SF3 and have now been able to replace my HotKey Matrix thanks to you. What you’ve created with SF3 is just brilliant! For Pro Tools and Soundminer I no longer have to use KM. Thank You and thanks for all of your help in getting me going!
