Can't get MOMdeck to connect to DADman
Hi there,
I've been using this successfully for a while, but now have started to have an issue connecting the deck to DADman. When I start up the computer, DADman searches for the virutal Streamdeck MOM forever and never finds it (screenshot attached). I can't see it in the device list either. Occasionally it does connect, but it's unpredictable and I can't figure out how to duplicate the success or failure of the connection - truly seems random - I've tried restarting SoundFlow, restarting DADman, changing the startup order of things, waiting for Soundflow to load before starting DADman, waiting for DADman to load before starting SoundFlow, changing the StremDeck to a direct USB connection (no hub) but nothing seems to affect whether the connection works.
Right now, it's not seeing the software MOM as an available device at all, which leads me to think it's an issue on the SoundFlow or MOMdeck side.

Any tips?

Hi @Drew_Jurecka ,
Are you on Sequoia by any chance? If so please check out this forum thread: Soundflow app opens, but there is nothing on the screen. I can't see any apps, etc. #post-15
Thanks,

Thanks for your reply. I've been on the road and put this troubleshooting on hold.
I am on Sequoia (the eternal punishment for buying a new mac is dealing with the fact that all of my professional software is two OS behind Apple!)
I tried this full uninstall/reinstall of SoundFlow, and it did increase the likelihood that DADman would see the virtual MOM from SoundFlow, but it's still really hit or miss.
Currently, DADman is trapped in a futile search for my virtual MOM, but to no avail.
Sometimes, DADman does find my virtual MOM, but then loses the connection periodically.
Any advice on how to make the connection between DADman and my virtual MOM more harmonious?

Hey @Drew_Jurecka ,
Sorry for the slow reply, I'm travelling. Just to catch me up, you are on the latest Dadman software and firmware on everything? It's definitely acting like a networking problem. From what I remember you're running Dadman and MOMDeck on the same computer, is that correct? There still isn't official support for Sequoia, but there are several people using it with no issues,
The first thing is we need to make absolutely positive you aren't running any utilities that deal with network traffic (firewalls, Little Snitch, vpns etc). After that i think at this point we need to confirm whether the virtual MOM is up and running and Dadman is correctly looking for it. Dadman broadcasts on the network, MOMDeck responds, and then they set up the connection. Even without MOMDeck running it should be possible to see Dadman broadcasting.
This kind of network troubleshooting is a little above my pay grade so hoping @kitch might be able to help?

Thanks for taking the time to respond when you're on the road. Truly appreciated!
I'm heading back out tomorrow myself, so won't be able to troubleshoot this again until later this week but a network issue problem seems like a solid place to start the search when I'm back at it. I'm not running any firewalls or a VPN, but I do have three separate networks connected to my computer (via their own separate network interfaces) - my DANTE network (which shares a connection with the ethernet control connection on my MTRX I), my internet (hardwired from the modem) and a proprietary headphone monitor system (Hearback Pro) that has it's own closed network. It's possible that DADman is looking around all of the available network connections before finally finding the MOM. What I've found upon more observation is that it will eventually connect to the Soundflow MOM when left to its own devices, and generally stays connected once it is found, but it often takes over an hour for the connection to be made. Definitely could be a weird network issue.
I'll troubleshoot further with that in mind. Maybe I'l start with network service order and see what I can get to from there.
